Soooooooo my friend received her curly hair and I had a chance to check it out.  There is absolutely nothing special about this hair.  This makes those detailed reviews even more suspect in my book. Geek  It's regular old Ali hair (either a coily deep wave or deep curly) that is washed and brushed before shipping.  Ali-style raggedy weft stitching, Ali-style small bundles, Ali-style raggedy beards, some off-colored filler strands, and that Ali-smell ----- the top of the wefts kind of had that corn chip smell.  The hair she received arrived damp and matted in it's packaging.  Honestly the hair I posted in my Denman test is nicer.  They claim the curls are not uniform because they are brushing them out.

If you think this is some type of special curly like Onyc, Golden Swish, [Name Removed by Request of Vendor], etc.  you will be extremely disappointed.  Do you research, find a dupe, and save your coins.

I can't stop laughing...this hair is just so...................................................basic. LOL Clown

What's funny is that I hate nearly every Indian Hair shop I walk into on the street. So why do I think that online would be different. Because I get mesmerized by the pretty pictures...

Thanks OP! I wasn't even tempted to buy because I refuse to purchase from AV's..Just can't stomach the markup...But even without this post I still wouldn't have ordered b/c i'm sure they've been bombared! ..My quest to find a solid vendor is still on and popping!

Awe man, I'm one of the ones that purchased the hair, it arrives today. I attempted to cancel via PayPal and through BD both a no go...so I will give it to my friend, she really wants curly hair.

I think I'm about to rock my own hair, I'm in school, have a f/t job and kids. I do not have time or money to waste looking for "quality" hair.

So she just got done washing after lightening with for an hour with developer.  The ends have already turned into a scratchy mass resembling steel wool.  The "ringlet" ends are so not worth it, esp. when it makes the hair nut up and start acting bipolar.  Managed to get that combed out and now it's soaking in conditioner. smh  You definitely don't want to install this.
 
I'm 110% sure we have the owner(s) and some compensated reviewers up in here.

Okay, so it's drying and now it looks like regular deep curly hair.  The ends are curled, but the ringlets that it arrived with are gone.  It now looks identical to the hair I posted.  Hmmm....perhaps the ends are being "set" before shipment....

ETA:  Was plopped on a Aquis microfiber towel and everything too....

In all the hair that I ever got from Sabine the deep curly smelled. Its was a sample batch she wanted me to test and she did not end up going with that line of hair. The rest of her hair is on POINT. She's 1 of the AV's that I will still purchase from.

Moving on...you said the hair smelled like corn chips, had fillers and came out the package wet and matted. You are the ONLY ONE who said anything like this about the hair. Out of the at least 5 accounts I'm aware of on this board from ladies who have purchased, myself included, NO ONE has said any of those things, yet, let you tell it, we are all the ones lying? Here's what I want to know though, why didn't you post photos of the hair in this condition? If it really looked as terrible as you said, where is the proof? But here's what I really want to know....

You came back with an update from your "friend" that she had lifted the color on the hair. HOLD UP. You mean to tell me your "friend" received hair with fillers and is matted out the package, and yet she chose to KEEP IT? Confused WHERE THEY DO THAT AT? Shocked Who wouldn't have been on the phone with PayPal or their bank trying to get their coins back ASAP? So wait, not only does your "friend" keep hair that appears to be shoddy and in poor quality already, but she LIFTS the color on it???? This is flat out stupid! If the hair was already questionable the last thing anyone with an ounce of common sense and knowledge of hair would do is risk making it worse by potentially damaging it from lifting the hair. I refuse. Girl, stop. 

Now you can sit here and sell this bill of goods to people who may not know any better, but I am of the brighter variety of crayon in the box and your story just isn't adding up. But, I'm sleep though.

LOL, you're funny.  I'm not sure why I'm even wasting my energy on you, but keep stanning for BD because you just made it very clear that you're the owner.  You're really going hard for your company, huh?  And it's sad that you're stalking my every move....I mean who does that?  Get a life.

As for the hair I posted downstairs, that is obviously not my "replacement."  Don't be silly...It's not even curly.  That was a separate experimental order from a while ago that didn't turn out as planned.  My replacement is here, and I'm good so don't worry about me hun.

As for my friend, it was her decision to make a go of it because she really needed some new hair.   I've been watching this whole debacle, but I don't want her to feel bad.  I was trying to be positive and I actually told her, hey, maybe we can make it work.  I was really hoping for a good outcome...to be proven wrong.  It looks like BD isn't keen on letting people cancel orders, and PayPal isn't helping, so why bother trying to get a refund?  At the end of the day, I let people make their own decisions.

My only goal was to help people be informed consumers.  From the constant vendor posts to all the compensated reviewers up in here, people can really be led astray.  There is nothing but ads and lies in here nowadays, because apparently it's lucrative to whore it up for free hair.   People work hard for their money, and I, like everyone else, hates the feeling of disappointment when our coins get wasted on a bad product sold by a sheisty businessperson or hyped by some compensated hair-whore.  But it's really no biggie...I have no motive, no dog in this fight so feel free to continue making an ass of yourself.  I am indeed entertained.

As a further indicator of my transparency and good-willed intent, I will leave you with this:

The hair is NOT horrible, however, like other true customers have said, the hair is NOTHING SPECIAL.  It is nothing more than your average Ali-vendor's deep curly that has been co-washed and brush-defined.  If you would prefer to pay a middleman (or woman) an extra $50 or so a bundle, that is your decision.  Caveat emptor.
 
CurvyGirl27, as the owner of such an enterprise, I am sure you are overwhelmed by the response to your ad review.  My recommendation to you is to allow the hair to dry thoroughly before packaging and sending it off to customers, because it is hell to detangle when it's damp and becomes matted in its plastic prison.  You might also wish to forego setting the ringlets on the ends because they're really just tangles, and they really misbehave when the hair has been wet too long.
 
Additionally, I know it's not fair, but vendors and BHM don't mix, no matter how nice you try to spin it.  This is why most members who become vendors stop posting in the forum or try to limit their posts and be discreet. Hug

So just my two cents. I'm hardly a bandwagoner but this time, shamefully, I jumped. Everything was all good from the emails back and forth, to shipping, to delivery. I opened my package and I fell in love with those little ringlets! I ordered kc btw. However, I requested the tightest curls and what I got was simply kinky curly. It's like 3b/c throughout with ringlets at the end. I'm pressing 4a/b and just from looking this shat ain't gonna match my coils. Since I emailed her expressing my concerns. Her response was "no refunds as it would be taking a loss", "but you can exchange it for tighter curls should some come in". I ain't got that kinda time. Then I was told I could sell thru a third party n get my money back that way... One: these are shorter lengths, two: with all the mixed reviews ain't nobody gonna wanna pay $200 for no short ass kc hair!! So I Went online to TRY n sell for the benefit of the doubt. Some one hijacked my post and I quote "I suggest everyone read ALL of the reviews on BHM before making a purchase. Something funky is going on."!!!! **Pissed*** So what do I do next? Buyer the bullet n contact Paypal. Not even 20min after the dispute I received this

It is unfortunate that PayPal had to get involved in this matter. I do feel as though based on the photos you sent us of the look of the hair you were hoping to achieve and the photos we showed you of the hair we sell/offer, that what we sent you was along those guidelines. I understand that nothing is ever 100% when you are dealing with a photo and actually seeing something in person, so I am still willing to keep my original offer on the table that we will pay the difference in your re-sell.

There are other places to sell hair besides Black Hair Media and I assure you that even though there have been a few negative things said by a dishonest customer, that has not stopped our orders from rolling in, which makes me believe that people are and will still be interested in purchasing our hair (from you too), because the positive reviews far outweigh the negative. The quality of the hair speaks for itself, and I do believe that you can find someone who will be willing to take it off of your hands.

Furthermore, I do hope that you do not consider filing a chargeback for this purchase through your bank. Our return address differs from our mailing address and our mailing address has also changed. As you have gone through PayPal and lost your claim, you have not been provided with an authorized return address.

We have verified with PayPal that if you do ship to an unauthorized return address (which any address you would ship to would be considered unauthorized as they did provide you with it for a return), and file a chargeback, their department will contact your bank with this information and your chargeback will be reversed.

In which case, you would not only be denied a refund, but you would also lose the hair extensions because we no longer have possession of that address and there is no forward on it because we never receive returns there. Thus, there is no guarantee your hair would be returned to you and you would end up both without your money and your hair, as the loss would not be ours to incur because we won the claim, but also because we too would not have the extensions.

I am telling you this because I do not want to see you end up completely empty handed and despite a claim being filed, I do not hold any negative feelings toward you from this exchange. I do want to see you end up with a favorable outcome, which is why my offer still stands. If you change your mind about it, please do let me know - it would be my pleasure. I am sorry things turned out this way, I wish you the best. Take care. I called Paypal back bc there was NO investigation or anything... I sent pics and expressed my wants on the invoice... just refund my money and move on with you life if ur business is just THAT banging! Moral of the story, no bandwagons, and be ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY SURE this hair is what you want before purchasing!!

Furthermore, I do hope that you do not consider filing a chargeback for this purchase through your bank. Our return address differs from our mailing address and our mailing address has also changed. As you have gone through PayPal and lost your claim, you have not been provided with an authorized return address. 

We have verified with PayPal that if you do ship to an unauthorized return address (which any address you would ship to would be considered unauthorized as they did provide you with it for a return), and file a chargeback, their department will contact your bank with this information and your chargeback will be reversed. 

In which case, you would not only be denied a refund, but you would also lose the hair extensions because we no longer have possession of that address and there is no forward on it because we never receive returns there. Thus, there is no guarantee your hair would be returned to you and you would end up both without your money and your hair, as the loss would not be ours to incur because we won the claim, but also because we too would not have the extensions. 

I am telling you this because I do not want to see you end up completely empty handed and despite a claim being filed, I do not hold any negative feelings toward you from this exchange. I do want to see you end up with a favorable outcome, which is why my offer still stands. If you change your mind about it, please do let me know - it would be my pleasure. I am sorry things turned out this way, I wish you the best. Take care. I called Paypal back bc there was NO investigation or anything... I sent pics and expressed my wants on the invoice... just refund my money and move on with you life if ur business is just THAT banging! Bella Donna is doing some shady business. I'm pretty sure that when I ordered my hair their return policy stated that you could wet the hair to test the pattern and they would do an exchange as long as you left the tie original tie thingy on. They changed up the terms on the site and everything Dead.

Looking back, PRena said they told her the same thing.

I asked my friend about the envelope it was shipped in.  There is no return address.  It just says "BDE."  That's really unprofessional.  I guess the owner doesn't give a damn about return to sender issues or items getting lost in the mail.  People are getting hair now, but it's only a matter of time before she stops shipping, takes the money and runs.

With her business practices her company will fail quickly. She had the nerve to tell me there are other places to sell besides BHM little's does avenue know I didn't even post the hair here to sell. I actually posted it on a much bigger platform, and while she threw slight shade, doesn't realize how much of an impact BHM has on hair companies success/failure. So treasury lightly BDE! A prideful man never wins. It may look good for you know, but that can QUICKLY change. Honesty and integrity will get you much further in life. I didn't win my claim this time( a first EVER) but I'll be sure to let ppl know my experience with no hesitation. It's a shame how thirsty this weave game has become... thinking about going on a no buy for the rest of the year. Tired of throwing my coins away to scavengers fighting for a meal!!

This is why I really have a problem with purchasing hair online sometimes you just really don't know what your getting. Stock photos are always whats being sent to you. And IM sorry I can't spend my money somewhere that has a NO REFUND Policy I just cant. Im so sorry that you didn't win the paypal dispute normally they are always on the side of the buyers. Especially if you have proof that the product you received is not really what you ordered. Maybe you could possibly contact them again.

I was one of the first who purchased before "the death of Belladonna" began. I gave my honest opinion and sent tons of pics to the people who asked. I am disappointed to hear that so many people are dissatisfied with their purchase, however it leaves a nasty taste in my mouth when the company has changed most of their policies which inclined me to purchase to begin with. The curls are pretty and bleaches well from my experience. So with that said, for my final review, this hair aint sh*t but some silicon mix.

LITERALLY thinking the same thing! Emailed this to PRnena back on the 11th:

"Hi! Sorry I'm always bombarding you with questions but I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out on this one, I feel like I'm getting tricked!When I ordered from Belladonna I specifically checked their return policy because their hair didn't have very many reviews. When it came, I wet it and combed it and my friend asked "are you sure you're allowed to return it if you do that?" and I said yes, as long as you only use water, then went to check the return policy AGAIN, just to make sure. Today I email them about returning and they give this whole long schpeal about how once hair has been in a customer's hands they can't return it unless they're at fault, and even if they're at fault, they only do exchanges. And then when I go to look at the site all of a sudden in big bold letters is their policy saying that they DON'T ACCEPT RETURNS, NO EXCEPTIONS.  It clearly a pretty small company, I'm sure she runs her own site, I feel like she quickly changed it after seeing my email! Especially since people have been speculating about Belladonna's vendor being a member here, I feel like she noticed that people's opinions were changing and changed her policy based on that. I saw that on a post in the looking for hair thread you mentioned that she said you could return any unaltered bundles? That's straight up what she said? BHM e-thuggin now. People do the most over some hair, and righteously BHM aint SHEIT compared to the witch hunts NC would do over some hair products. Yall must not know bout Enso. They slayed that woman and had her down to her finger prints (literally) with 100 pages +. 

It would be nice if there were a regular updated rating section for hair lines where people can give the hair 1 - 5 stars based on their experience and a brief review like makeupalley. It would keep businesses on their toes and would help A LOT at weeding out the good and bad vendors. We wouldn't have to look for scattered reviews and the rating would be in plain site.  

Like someone else said, not everyone is going to have a positive experience with a hair company. Nowadays hair is just flat our inconsistent, and people sway heavily based off of reviews. Too heavily. 

Also, she's bluffing. LOL Do a chargeback. She wrote that long ass email because she doesn'twant you to do a chargeback. The money will be withdrawn from her account immediately regardless to what Paypal says....and THEN Paypal will withdraw $10.00 from her account to "fight" the chargeback. She wont win and she knows it.  It is odd that Paypal sided with her though against the claim. Paypal RARELY sides with the seller. You also have to call Paypal...ask to speak with a manager, yada yada. Basically, if you do the work...and by work I mean call your bank, you will get your coins back. Then SHE will have to ask for the hair back...lolLOL

I don't worry when it comes to ordering online. When you know the game, played it, and know the system it's harder to get phucked over.

My dilemma is only a portion of the $ came outta my back. The majority was $$ I had sitting in my Paypal balance so I wouldn't be getting much back from a chargeback. I've never filed a report beyond a claim before so I wouldn't have a clue as to where to begin per my lost claim. I've NEVER lost a claim before!!

They will deposit the money back into your Paypal account, when one of those CV was playing games they put the $$$ right back in my Paypal account in 24 hours.
