Don't miss it. North and South Americas will have the best view. This is called the "Blood Moon" because the shadow will turn it into a reddish color. For me in AZ, it 'll happen around midnight, so check your time zones. Big smile

i wonder if it'll be visible for me… i like never get to see them. im like an hour away from 1 of the cities listed as 100% visible.. 

idk if ill make it though.. i got like an hour of sleep last night. 
the next one isnt until october and idk if that'll be a bloody one Sleepy
ill try. im excited.

Since they didn't wanna put all 50 states in, they just gave us some city names, but it'll pretty much be visible all over the U.S. So you're good! LOL

This marks the beginning of the tetrads of 2014/2015. 4 consecutive blood moons occurring at a 6 month interval

There's going to be 4 consecutive blood moons; the first is tonight, the next is 6 months from now (in October) and then same cycle happens again in 2015.

I was trying to hold the camera steady b/c the shutter took a long time to close and my hand was shaking lol

I think that was a star but again, the camera was a lil shaky so the pic is distorted

It was SO gorgeous last night! For ya'll who missed this one, there's another one on October 8, then 2 more next year.....

After that, most of us will be dead before the next one appears in about 100 years from now LOL

Cool. I don't know why I keep thinking that star that's by the moon is Vega or Saturn.Embarrassed Man I missed that guy on pbs who used to say "keep looking up" The show isn't the same since he's gone.
