I put this in the Hair Color section, but it seems that it's dead there...

Anyway Ill just re post here Tongue

this is my first time attempting to ombre or dye hair in general and I have watched  http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/can-i-ombre-my-weave-with-just-developer_topic368920.html#" rel="nofollow - videos  on  http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/can-i-ombre-my-weave-with-just-developer_topic368920.html#" rel="nofollow - YouTube  about ways to do it. Some videos have people who used bleach and developer, and some just have developer and I'm confused. I want to do a brownish auburn ombre on my hair and I need some help.

Also, after I dye it, do I deep condition. How do I help with dryness?

All help is highly appreciated! Big smile

After u dye the hair u do a deep condition. You can use 40 developer. Let it sit over night. How u apply the developer depends on the look u going for.

So the developer won't damage the weave?

for me… just developer didnt get it light enough.. and i didnt even want it that light..

no matter how long i let it sit.. put it on foil.. put it out in the sun.. developer only brought it to like a #3 color..
developer can only do so much.. i think you need to use bleach too unless you just want it a little lighter

the hair is virgin right..?

if you have time and patience you can try hydrogen peroxide.. I've used that quite a few times without a problem

I would suggest using Loreal HiColor for dark hair in three different browns to achieve the ombre look if you don't want to bleach your hair.  You could also try the Loreal Feria ombre kit, its great for first time ombre'ers LOL

Most people I know do this in the summer and leave their wefts out in the sun from sun up till sun down.

the loreal hi color highlight is great as well.. It already have lightening products in it.. I used that brand in red and didn't have to bleach the hair and it showed..
