The other sections are dead so I had to come here.

did weaves or lace wgs make your hair grow more?

I Ask because for the past few months I have been wearing lace wigs with no glue and I noticed my hair broke off more. I treated my hair under it well. Braided down, moisturize and washed once a week. I had alor if breakage and I recently had to chop most of my hair off and figured id just go natural. This never happen to me with weaves. Wat gives?

Honestly weave helped my hair grow.

Not the weave itself, but keeping my hands out if it. No manipulation, no heat, and my hair flourished.

Moisturizing, sealing, and keeping it tied up when I sleep or lay down has helped a lot too.

I've never used wigs.  Weaves worked for me because I was not busy digging in and pulling my hair all the time.  If you weave it up, make sure you or your braider does not make the braids so tight you think you will need aspirin to bear it.

Im wondering if its aldo because weave keeps in the moisture more.

I found that the synthetic hair used to make and hold in the braid is what makes my hair more moisturized.  Since product can't really penetrate synthetic hair, it keeps the natural hair more moisturized.

Weaves help my hair grow bc of lack of manipulation. I wanted to go back to wigs but I worry about my edges with wigs. I don't want them rubbing my edges away.

Did your wig have those combs/clips in the front? If so that would explain the breakage.

wigs are great. they are best for growth when you have your hair braided down professionally b/c  you wont want to take the base braids out as quickly. when you braid your hair yourself, you end up taking the braids out after a week or 2 and dont reap the advantages pf the protective styling.

my hair grows the most with weaves because i keep my hands out of my hair

i've been wearing my first lace wig this winter and my edges seem pretty protected, but i still touch my hair a lot and thats a problem...i miss my weaves

I get growth from both. Glueless lace front and weave because my method for both are the same. I sew in my wigs just like my weaves. I prep the my hair the same, braid and net cap.

Haaa, my dilemma now. I want a sew-in for the look, but wigs helped my hair grow more by a landslide. I cornrow my hair underneath, moisturize, and baggy daily when I'm wigged up. I can't do that as easily with a sew-in...

Are you baggy-ing the ends or your whole head?

Whole head...I use a clear plastic shower cap then I put the wig cap over to hold it in place. Sometimes I use 2 wig caps to minimize the glare and sound of the shower cap...
