Hello ladies. My name is Marilyn. I am a returning member. Here is my pic below, because I don't know how to change my avatar through my phone. Any who, this is what I have been up to....These are just a few pics of some of the clients I've done, who never thought they could wear a natural looking weave that can be worn in different ways.

Nice work. What kind of hair is that in the first picture? Btw, that girl looks like me lol.

Im in desperate need of some blowout-style hair but if it doesn't work out I'm gonna have to change my name to GHOHDummy. Buying hair in 2014 is brutal.

Thank you. It starts with the way the hair is installed which gives it a natural appearance or illusion...

Awe, Thank you doll!😊😘 No, but I made myself a wig to wear whenever I want to wear a protective style...I am working on WL so I am on my own hair growth regimen. A lot of my clients are either transitioning or completely natural. They wear weave, quick wigs and I try to keep them on a personalized hair growth regimen lol, but I know it's not easy to go 100% natural. I barely do any styling to my hair unless I go out...

Yes I am natural and I hate doing my hair. I want WL too but right I want some color so bad so I was thinking of getting a sew in or do you think a upart will be better with a closure. I love my natural hair I dont want to dye it though oh yea I did I mention i hate doing it lol and am kind of tired of natural styles

A u part with a closure would be better. You wouldn't have to deal with blending your hair and you wouldn't have to color your own hair.

Oh my. I'm sorry that it's not easy to understand what I posted. Although I'm not new, I haven't posted in a very long time. Your looking at me in the first pic and the other pics are 2 clients wearing weave. It's possibly confusing because the wefts are seamless, hidden, or it's an illusion before your eyes lol

Ohh okay, I get it I get it. I didn't notice the 2nd set of pics were weave. Cool.

I got all happy like "Wow I can fake long natural hair with a weave until I make it" Then you came in like "nah thats all me" lol.

Lmbo...well yes that's all my hair...you can still purchase hair that will give you that natural look though.

I hate when you try to reply to a post on your phone and get locked out. Yes, I'm natural. I used a Just for me perm once (left it on 5 minutes) and all my hair started coming out. So, Im natural by force. Lol.

Okay, this might seem kinda creepy...I just saved your hair picture as motivation lol. I'm GONNA get my hair that long. I am not sure how though.

Wait, just to get these questions out of the way...

Are you mixed with any nationality through an immediate family member that would result in your hair growing down to your butt - even if you weren't trying to grow it?

Are you SURE that's not some kinky blowout hair that I haven't discovered yet?

Okay, that is all.

:)

That's fine with me. Yes I am mixed, Trini...but I have never seen my hair as long as it is now. You can grow your hair and but you have to take care if it and know what to do to keep it.

Lmbo....I'm sure it's all mine mine mine lol...what length do you have now?

I agree with you have to take care of it my hair is mid back or a little longer when I leave it alone it grows the most

My hair is shoulder length almost armpit. It grew like crazy when I was pregnant but now it just grows soooo sloooowwww. It's like watching ice melt. And it's always dry dry dry. I moved back to L.A. and the water and the air just kills my hair. In other states- even in Oakland/San Francisco, my hair grows faster and holds more moisture. I Co wash like crazy, I use Jajoba (sp) oil. My ends are always dry.

Do you take biotin or prenatal pills? Should I be taking something? I eat very clean, workout daily and drink tons of water (like 100 ounces/day).

Yes, you can take Biotin. I take Biotin. I do not want to advise you on what to do to your hair because I can be torn to pieces on this board if I say the wrong thing to you. The ladies here are very sensitive about unnecessary information or possibly wrong info lol...please forgive me, I will only say that there is oodles of info on here about natural hair care, and hair type specifics....I will say this:

1. Figure out your hair type
2. Moisturizing consists of hair softening sprays, hair cream or lotion

Thank you doll. Well yes, she was referred to me by another client, I made sure I took care of her edges. I get a lot of clients who have damaged hair and edges from poor weave application, braid foundation and improper usage if a certain technique used to install the weave. I try my best to help other grow their hair and care for it as I do my own sis...

Thank you Nitty0102...as for the growth concern, I know that birth control will be a major contributing factor in stagnating hair growth...join my group if you like on Facebook: About Marilyn Makeeba (loving natural hair)...
