Subject: Shaped like a boy
Date Posted: Nov 29 2013 at 11:38am

I have seen people on here make comments about really slender women looking like 12 year old boys. Do y'all think that this is an exaggeration? I have seen some really really slim women but I think that every woman has some type of womanly curve regardless of how skinny she is.

For example I hear people say that Karueche is shaped like a boy and I think that she is just tiny but she still has some curves she does not look like a little boy to me. So does slim hips and small boobs equal shaped like a boy?

My pics wont postOuch. Hold on

Yes.

Yes, it's definitely an exagerration. There's enough sexy to go around, we need to stop trying to define it.

There are women out there that are shaped without hips and a larger upper half (the 'apple' shape)...however I think Karreuche has a feminine, slim shape (her hips are wider than her stomach area).

I'm short and pear-shaped, and I'd love to pull off some of the clothing options that tall/slim women wear well. Oh well, dress for your body type.

You can be thin and have curves however I've noticed a few yt women (40/50) working hard to lose there curves as if a flat body will regain their youth.
I really like having some fluff/cushion. I'm not a fan of the VS look, I prefer the Dove Real look.

I think slim bodies can be gorgeous.  u can wear pretty much anything and get away with even more fashion wise.

I think it's all about what you're comfortable with having your body look like.

I hate when people say that.I'm not slim but I can imagine it's hurtful to hear people treat you as less than a full woman because you are slender. I correct people when I hear them describe another woman as skinny, bony, etc.

But outside of diet and exercise there isn't much you can do to change your body shape. I just think that women are women. More padding doesn't make someone more of a woman. To call someone a boy is degrading and pretty much telling them that they aren't womanly.

Those VS models are really skinny but they don't look like boys. I have never seen a women who is literally shaped like a boy.

This girl is really thin with very narrow hips but she still looks womanly.

If that's your preference, I see nothing wrong with it however I would never what to look like this.
Everyone has a different prospective of how a woman should look and only you can define it for yourself.

I would never want to look like that either. I like my curves. Im just showing that size doesnt make you more or less of a woman.

That saying annoys me. I'm not very curvy but I have a little bit of curves so I never felt like a little boy and I never met a man who made me feel that way either lol

LOLLOL Yeah I figured that. This place is funny to me. I know the jabs goes both ways though. I have seen threads where people said there is no way that a normal man would want a big girl unless he had a fetish and I have seen threads where people say that men who like really tiny women are child molesters or something like that.

Straight up, I've seen women I've said that about, but Karreuche is not one of them. She's slim, but still has a very feminine figure.

Can't see her whole body, but something along these lines.

Clearly, androgyny is her goal tho.

Ok Shady Lady I agree that she looks masculine in the face. I don't know what the body looks like. I looked up some androgynous models and even though they are thin and rough looking they still have some type of womanly curves though not much. Unless a woman is purposely taking some type of male hormone I believe she will look and be shaped like a woman.

The shaped like a boy comment is actually used to describe us banana shapes

It's either banana, rectangle, ruler, or boy shape

I've never heard anyone use that for a skinny person who has visible curves

Sometimes, unless the curves jiggle, people act like they don't count.

On the flip side, sometimes when u got a little jiggle to ur curves, people act like ur fat.

Yep--if you're skinny, you're shaped like a little boy/man, anorexic, etc.

If you're fat, you're a cow, are seething in jealousy, compulsive eaters, etc.

When we stop regulating and judging women's bodies, and taking shots at those who don't fit our (or others') body type ideal to feel better about ourselves, then maybe everyone can feel more comfortable in their own skin. I sometimes feel lucky to be smack dab in the middle so that I don't deal with the stereotypes...

Men deal with these body image issues as well, but to a much lesser extent.

Most of the time, yes. There are some women that are 100% void of a single curve resembling anything feminine though.

damn why is there no in-between lol

I love all body types, they all have their pros and cons.

I don't hear men say shaped like a boy but I do hear too skinny,  but if you are thin and a man is tryna get with you I would hope he wouldn't be bad mouthing your body.

boobs = feeding a child

hips= giving birth/ give him babies

Big butt = better doggy style  it's not all true, it's not all right but I think that's where the whole thing stems from  or at least what I've heard all my life

I thought we were discussing healthy body types??
No one I know would choose to be overweight and unhealthy.
I workout like a beast because I prefer a muscular build and I like to eat so it's a good trade off.

It's all about one's preference.

The majority of ppl i see on bhm are the types of big girls who 'own' their bigness and stay talkin about how this or that person needs a burger.. but i never said nor insinuated that there weren't big girls who desperately want to lose weight.
my comment was in response to the thread (which was about being shaped like a boy..)

i make comments about how y'all are catty (never said i couldn't be as well) and love to bring old ish up (i rarely do this)..
you can throw shade but have a certain level of tact to where you won't bring up somethin painful/embarassing that a person shared.. theres a balance of that that bhm doesnt have.. they just go for the jugular when someone says somethin side-eye worthy..

i admit to being a biitch but i don't stoop as low as some of yall.. but bhmers love to think they're saints one day and devils the next.

congrats… i never said you were specifically a person who was a saint one day then a sinner the next…
i was responding to that throwing shade comment.. i don't ask for empathy and I'm not one of these ppl pretending they're a saint.. i just feel like anyone with some home training should feel a way about bringing up certain things..

that is not me. i have some tact.. i try not to hit below the belt just to get some lol's… its never been that serious to me. if you be feelin that upset in an online altercation.. thats on you.. get some therapy.
I've got mines, I'm getting good. Cool

neither did i.

but, then again, i also didn't know that the opposite of a woman being slender and being compared to a young male was being larger and compared to an animal.

just like there are levels to how evil you can be.. there are levels to how big of a biitch you can be..

you're stupid if you didnt know that. eanaj..

i can be an smartass asshole… easy… but it takes an extra mean type of biish to bring up certain, very painful things that a person shared when they were going through a vulnerable/desperate time… i can easily talk about different things that will make u upset if i wanted to.. i don't need to bring up traumatic ish just to get some lols. its never been that serious for me against someone online that ill never meet…

but thats just me… do you boo.

lies…

there is only one level/degree of being evil and a biitch…

everyone on here who is a biitch or evil is the exact same.. they all go by the same standards

i obviously disagree.

either you are or you aren't xyz. levels are just thrown in to help those that "are" justify, sleep at night, etc.  well i could've been much more of a bitch... he/she/they should be thankful.

or or or -- you could've just not been a bitch in the first place.

horseshoes and hand grenades. just own your bitchery and call it what it is. LOL
