I would love to know more. My daughter is almost four, and I want us both to eat healthier and be healthier. I need some ideas and tips for low-cost healthy meals and meals that don't take a lot of time to cook. I Googled hydroponics. Someone mentioned it in another thread. Can someone provide more info? Thanks!

I live in an apartment, but I was considering growing a few herbs and tomatoes in pots on my patio next Spring. What other vegetables can be successfully grown in pots?

OP there's a lady here ( in Jamaica) that started a line of herbs that we wouldnt normally get in the supermarkets (cilantro arugula etc etc ) using hydroponics. everything she learned she learned from youtube.

The hydro stores also do seminars by the vendors.  Hubby just went to one last week at one of the stores he likes and the guy from one of the nutrient companies gave a detailed overview, how to use etc.  Don't spend $500 like my husband thoughDead.  You can start with basic nutrients IMO.

Youtube is yo friend!

I like the idea of growing "up", so basically instead of setting your plants up horizontally you would stack them like - a row of tomatoes, a row of cabbage, a row of beans etc all the way up to the ceiling.  Since he is the water flow master I'm planning to have him do all that part.  I have so much to learn.  He's way ahead of me and been ready for about a year now.   I just don't want to grow where I live now because once I buy another house I plan to dedicate a permanent space.

I haven't watched any videos but from just reading the thread this sounds like how we grow our plants for experiments in my biology class.

Join  the local 4H club. Or check to see if the local community colleges & universities have a Learning Extension type organization that you can join. I grew up gardening and was involved with those programs and they are really popular again nowadays.
