Some say it's just the lighting others say foundation is too light. What do you think?

I saw this video posted around. I say it's too light. By reading the comments, she always wear what the viewers think is the wrong shade, but she says it's her right shade. Seem to me she's at the age of "I know what I doing". At 30, she'll laugh at the error of her ways.

She's cute but the makeup is a tad to light for her. She also didn't blend in the concealer under her brows enough.

it was obvious the foundation didn't match when it was dotted on her face and when she held it in her hands at 0:33

It doesn't look bad from a distance.
Idk idc.

The foundation is too light.
She may need to blend two foundations together to get the right shade for her skintone. She could probably get away with using that color foundation in the winter though.

She's really pretty!

Yeah I have to blend that Revlon foundation with mac foundation to get the right color.

It seems to be the foundation, I think she could've gone without it

The foundation looks like a straight mask on her

Another thing could be she used way to much of it

I hope the brows were a joke because you could see a clear strip of her concealer underneath it

Its the right color but its off in the undertone.
She has to mix 2 different colors.
Thats what I have to do and it sucks. Thats what happens when you're brown/chocolate with golden undertones, its hard to find one color that'll match.
I use Armani's liquid foundation in a 10 and 11. It mixes perfect.
The 11 alone is too red and the 10 alone is too yellow/ashen.

Way too much foundation, her skin looks clear too. I never understand wearing foundation when you have clear even skin.

Posted By: mizzsandra00

She can wear foundation she just needs 4-5 dots......or even a tinted moisturizer......be a little lighter on the powder and steer clear of the metallic eyeshadow in the crease......

They are talking about you on Blackhairmedia forum in the Talk Talk Talk section Titled: Lighting or foundation too light. Looks like you need to darken that foundation sweetie.

Dead. foundation is way too light though....why the fuq some women wear all of the shxt on their face? It's toooo damn hot for that! She don't even need it!!

On another site, someone posted other videos of girls wearing the same shade as her and they all were much lighter than her. When I used to wear foundation I use the Caramel too and I'm lighter, but anyway, I agree with the bolded. I'm brown w/yellow undertone and most foundation I've tried don't suit me. I have clear skin (I drink nothing but water and occasional cup of coffee), so I stopped using foundation long ago. I don't know how fancy you are with makeup, but the ELF concealer palette in dark is the only thing I've found that matches and blend with my skin tone to the t-bone.

Anyone notice how she tried to hide the color of the foundation when she was holding the bottle?  I'm pretty sure that was Toast, which is NOT her color.

It seem like the darker the person, the more they want their concealer to show. My cousin is deep dark and she always line her brows with a white pencil.

I feel like her sister would have to see that it's wrong....unless they both think it's cool.

I think she is another pretty girl ... does not know that is already pretty. Confused So she just needs a LITTLE bit of something.

Her natural skin color is a beautiful rich color with red undertones ... and it matches the rest of her body.

She would just need a MAC colored powder or a tinted moisterizer (something light) because her skin is already clear. So no need for the 'mask' that she applied which is clearly the wrong color/undertone for her skin color. Really wrong. It looks flat and one dimensional. A mask. Would be better on the Stage but not in real life.

I think she's messing up her natural beauty with all that makeup.

Sure .. she's thinks it looks good so you can't tell her anything. Whatever.

I saw these 2 young ladies in person at an event and nothing struck me as "off" about their foundation.

It could be the lighting, but either way who cares? *shrug*

Is that the foundation she always uses because this was my first time seeing her with a different color face?

Yes she is pretty and young. She'll learn as she matures.

She has great skin in the second vid so to cover it up and lighten her tone seems just silly.  Plus when I went to college no way would I do that much work just to go to class.  A 5 min video means she's doing atleast 30 mins in real time.  Too much time and makeup.

Posted By: sugabanana

In this heat I usually only dab on foundation because my skin is super oily and feels like pudding is on my face by mid day. A little goes a long way.

I initially clicked on their vids because I thought their hair looked nice; they were doing Q&A segment and when I saw how they answered the questions, their mannerisms and etc I was like..mmkay..and never watched any of their sh*t again.  LOL

I wish that stuff made my makeup budge proof. My Ben Nye spray worked much better imo. I do however like how it makes my powder look.

These girls are naturally beautiful.

They could have achieved a MUCH MORE natural and beautiful outcome with 1/4 of the makeup.

These techniques are good for film and stage but that would be it IMO.

To apply this every day and walk out in BROAD DAYLIGHT like this would be incredible.
