Police plan to go back to the home of New England Patriot's tight end http://abcnews.go.com/US/aaron-hernandez-tangled-murder-probe-sued-shooting-friend/story?id=19435727" rel="nofollow - Aaron Hernandez today with another warrant based on evidence that "he destroyed his home security system,'' an investigator close to the case told ABC News.

The investigator, and other law enforcement sources, confirmed that the security system - which included video surveillance - was smashed intentionally.

And a cell phone used by Hernandez was handed over to investigators "in pieces'' by his attorneys, the sources said.

Police also want to know why a team of house cleaners were hired on Monday to scrub Hernandez's mansion, sources told ABC News.

The revelations come as multiple sources tell ABC News that the star NFL player has not been ruled out as a suspect in the murder of a semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, 27, who was Hernandez's friend.

Hernandez has been at the center of the investigation since Lloyd's body was found shot in the back of the head in a scrubby clearing of an industrial park roughly a mile from the Patriots star's million-dollar mansion in North Attleborough Monday.

Police believe Lloyd was killed between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. Monday, but his well dressed body was not found until 5:30 p.m. by a teenage jogger, several law enforcement sources told ABC News on the condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to discuss the case.

"He [Hernandez] has not been ruled out. We are not calling him a suspect, but he is definitely not in the clear," said one police official close to the investigation.

Ummmm... he does know that breaking the phone didn't mean they can't get info from it, right?

I swear if they locked folks up for stupidity, these streets would be empty.

And the Pats better cut his ass... suspend him at the very least.

DeadThis dumbass right here.

A law enforcement source told FOX 25 Wednesday night Hernandez appears to be directly tied to the homicide of Odin Lloyd; however, at this point there have been no arrests in the case, but new information gathered Thursday paints a clearer picture as to why Hernandez is the focus of the investigation.

FOX 25's Bob Ward's sources have confirmed that there is video evidence of Hernandez and two other men wearing hooded sweatshirts walking into Hernandez's home within minutes of neighbors hearing gunshots.

Neighbors say they heard the gunshots between 3 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. Monday morning, but did not report it to police right away.

Just about an hour before Hernandez was caught on video walking into his home, Hernandez was seen at Lloyd's home in Dorchester.

Boston Globe reporters http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2013/06/20/arrests-murder-dorchester-man-who-was-acquainted-with-new-england-patriot-aaron-hernandez/dwNR8ApiB5SARdWYxZGOPO/story.html" rel="nofollow - Mark - Arsenault and Meghan Irons  added details as well:

Video images taken early Monday morning appear to show New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez together on Fayston Street in Boston with a Dorchester man whose bullet-ridden body was discovered later that day in a North Attleborough industrial park near Hernandez’s house, according to two law enforcement officials.

Aaron Hernandez, Tangled in Murder Probe, Also Sued for Allegedly Shooting Friend

By MICHELE McPHEE and  http://abcnews.go.com/author/kevin_dolak" rel="nofollow - KEVIN DOLAK  ( http://twitter.com/kdolak" rel="nofollow - @kdolak )
BOSTON June 19, 2013

New England Patriots tight end  http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/england-patriots-aaron-hernandez-home-searched-murder-investigation-19434751" rel="nofollow - Aaron Hernandez , who is caught in the middle of a homicide investigation of an "associate," is also being sued by a former friend who claims Hernandez shot his eye out after the two left a Miami strip club.

The suit states that Hernandez "possessed a gun which he was not legally licensed to have."

In a lawsuit filed in federal court on June 13, attorneys representing Alexander Bradley, 32, said that their client, Hernandez and several others were at Tootsie's strip club in Miami on Feb. 13 when Bradley and Hernandez got into an argument. The group then left the club, and while driving towards Palm Beach, Fla., Hernandez's gun discharged inside the vehicle.

"It fired, and a bullet went through my client's arm and blew out his right eye," attorney David Jaroslawicz told ABCNews.com. "It has been enucleated -- replaced with a prosthetic eye. He has also lost use of his right arm."

The lawyer said that "to my knowledge" no charges were filed as a result of the shooting.

A spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department said, "The Miami-Dade Police Department does not have any documented incident on record. We will continue to research the incident, and as with any developing situation, the details may change."

Jaroslawicz said that the suit was voluntarily discontinued because language describing the injuries was incorrect. It was being refiled today, he said.

Patriots Player's Home Searched in Murder Investigation. http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/england-patriots-aaron-hernandez-home-searched-murder-investigation-19434751" rel="nofollow - Watch now.

Bradley has done personal assistant work for Hernandez, according to Jaroslawicz. He did not disclose the amount of damages sought in the suit, but said that Bradley has had four surgeries so far and anticipates two or three more.

Massachusetts State Police, who searched Hernandez's home Tuesday night, executed a search warrant today for an Enterprise rental car that was leased by Hernandez. The car was left near where the body of Odin Lloyd, 27, who was found Monday evening with a gunshot wound to the head.

The body was discovered in a clearing near John Dietsch Boulevard, less than a mile from Hernandez's $1.3 million, 5,600-square foot home in North Attleborough, Mass.

Police spent hours at Hernandez's home Tuesday night, taking evidence photos and removing boxes. Another search was conducted of a car parked in Hernandez's driveway, a 2012 Chrysler 200 LX. The license plate connected that car to an Enterprise rental in Hernandez's name, several law enforcement sources told ABC News.

A third enterprise rental car registered to Hernandez was recovered at a Boston Enterprise rental location. Last night, police were looking for this car, one of several that was registered to the football player, and intend to search it as well, sources said.

"Someone dropped it off yesterday," a law enforcement source told ABC News. "Last night a BOLO [be on the lookout bulletin] was issued to all police for that vehicle, a silver Chevy. It has been recovered."

Police could be seen today searching the woods and front yards of homes stretching from the scene of the crime to Hernandez's house. A gun was found in the search, but ballistic tests discounted it as the weapon that killed Lloyd, sources said.

Lloyd was a linebacker for a semi-pro team called the Boston Bandits. Suffolk County District Attorney Jake Wark told ABC News that Lloyd had one arrest in 2008, a misdemeanor charge stemming from a fight.

Stacey James, a New England Patriots official, said on behalf of the team, "I am aware of the reports, but I do not anticipate that we will be commenting publicly during an ongoing police investigation."

Hernandez's sports agency, Athletes First, declined to comment.

His lawyer did not respond to repeated calls from ABC News today.

Hernandez is spending the off-season recovering from a shoulder surgery, though he was spotted at practice recently welcoming new Patriots' quarterback Tim Tebow.

He then texted that it was Hernandez and followed it up with, "Just so you know" in another text message, the prosecutors alleged during the arraignment."

The idiot has an 8 month old daughter.

Hernandez "orchestrated the execution," the prosecutor said, and asked that he be held without bail. The judge agreed; Hernandez will be jailed. His next court date will be July 24.

Lloyd, a 27-year-old semi-pro football player, had known Hernandez for about a year—the girlfriends of the two are sisters.

Prosecutors detailed Lloyd's multiple gunshot wounds—he was shot three times soon after getting out of the car, then two fatal shots were fired through his chest while he was lying on the ground. Keys to a vehicle belonging to Hernandez were found on Lloyd. Lloyd had all his possessions, so robbery was not the motive. .45 caliber shells from a semi-automatic weapon were recovered.

A warrant was issued to recover surveillance footage from the 14 cameras in and around Hernandez's house, but police discovered that 6-8 hours of footage, from around the time of the murder, was missing. They were able to discover text messages from Hernandez to the victim and the two other suspects on the night of the murder.

According to a third party, Hernandez was angry with Lloyd for talking to a group of people at a nightclub on the previous Friday, a group that Hernandez apparently had beef with. The prosecutor said authorities have tape of Hernandez, with a firearm, saying "You can't trust anyone anymore" before driving to pick up Lloyd.

The prosecutor says the group stopped at a gas station to pick up "blue cotton candy Bubblicious gum and Black & Mild cigars, which are used as rolling papers for marijuana."

When the three—minus Lloyd—returned to Hernandez's house, surveillance cameras showed someone carrying a gun into his house, down to the basement, and that's when cameras were shut off.

A shell casing was found in the rental car after Hernandez returned it—and a piece of chewed blue bubble gum.

The prosecution's extremely detailed timeline contains exchanges and information that could not have been picked up by any surveillance camera, so it seems likely that someone involved in the incident has spoken to police. (There is a sworn affidavit, but both the defense and the prosecution have agreed that it should be sealed.)

Lloyd's mother was led sobbing out of the courthouse mid-testimony. Hernandez's girlfriend left once the hearing ended, also in tears.

Herandez was represented by Michael Fee and Jamie Sultan, the latter consistently ranked as http://blog.masslive.com/patriots/2013/06/defense_attorney_jamie_sultan.html" rel="nofollow - one of the country's top trial lawyers.  Fee called the evidence "circumstantial," and said the case is "not strong," noting that the murder weapon has not been recovered. (Two other guns were found in and near Hernandez's house, accounting for the illegal weapons charges.)

In a brief appearance after the hearing, Fee said he will not comment, and will let the case play out in court. Asked how Hernandez is doing, he said only, "Aaron's fine."

I think there is a risk when it comes to drafting a player for any sport. This is just not one of the risks one can forsee..It is unfortunate. They don't put the proper procedures in place when dealing with young athletes going into this business of professional sports. It isn't high school and college anymore. In addition to financial management sessions, they need to have mandatory therapy sessions from jump...as a way to prepare them mentally and emotionally for what is to come. He made a stupid decision, and he is only to blame, but I bet this was some form of mental breakdown in a sense.

http://csnne.nbcsports.acquia-ps.com/blog/patriots-talk/hernandez-costly-pats-money-and-reputation" rel="nofollow - http://csnne.nbcsports.acquia-ps.com/blog/patriots-talk/hernandez-costly-pats-money-and-reputation
In April 2010, Aaron Hernandez must have seemed like great value for the Patriots as he sat there on the draft board after 112 other players had been drafted.

John Mackey Award winner in 2009 at Florida. Leading pass-catcher in the BCS National Championship game after the 2008 season.

There was a risk to employing Hernandez. Enough NFL people paid to project what a 20-year-old will be like when he’s suddenly rich and on his own backed off of Hernandez.

But when the Patriots made the 113th selection of that draft, they decided the projected production Hernandez promised was worth the risk and the cost of employing him.

They drafted him. And right about now, they’ve realized that Aaron Hernandez was unsafe at any cost.

Even though he caught 175 balls in 38 games for 18 touchdowns for the Patriots, played in a Super Bowl and an AFC Championship Game, the taint Hernandez leaves on the franchise isn’t going to scrub clean.

The Patriots, meanwhile, will have financial reminders of his presence, the detritus of the $41 million extension they gave him last August.

Hernandez’ salaries for 2013 and 2014 are $1.323 million and $1.137 million respectively. Neither season has “default language,” meaning the team can't recoup money if Hernandez doesn’t play.

Whose idea it was to omit the default language is certainly regretting it now. And explaining why to the person who signs the checks, one supposes.

Meanwhile, the Patriots owe Hernandez a deferred signing bonus payment of $3.25 million next March. If they refuse to pay that money, there’s little doubt that case will go to the courts and before the NFLPA. There is a fiancée and baby daughter to support and the argument of Hernandez’ people will be a plea they are not punished for Hernandez’s alleged sins.

Since the Patriots released Hernandez after June 1, they could be facing a cap charge in 2014 of $8.637 million.

The cost of cutting Hernandez is massive in a financial sense. The cost of employing him? Even greater.

It's very sad.  In a way I feel sorry for him, because obviously he is a troubled soul.  So young too & had a very promising future.

I just can't stand the way these athletes take what they have for granted!  They're getting paid millions to do what they love and still can't do right.  There are people who would give anything to be in their position and they go and waste opportunity and talent for some stupid decision that they made.

Aaron Hernandez was in constant fear that someone wanted him dead ... and that's why he stocked up on firearms ... sources close to the former New England Patriots star tell TMZ.

We're told ... the stories about Aaron's connections to gang members in Connecticut are real -- because the 23-year-old had joined one back when he was a teenager.

Sources connected to Aaron tell us ... he had been trying to move away from the gangster life ever since he signed his fat $40 million contract with the Patriots back in 2012, but it's not as easy as it sounds.

In fact, we're told Aaron believed people in the gangster world felt Aaron owed them something ... but it wasn't all about money -- they wanted his time and respect.

Sources say ... in the months leading up to the death of Odin Lloyd, Hernandez became paranoid that people from his "old lifestyle" were trying to kill him. It's unclear if Aaron feared scorned friends ... or rivals.

Life isn’t very good for Shayanna Jenkins right now. She’s the 24-year-old girlfriend (reported by some as a fiancee) of Aaron Hernandez, the New England Patriots tight end who was just charged with murder. She has an 8-month-old baby with the NFL player. Additionally, her sister was the girlfriend of Odin Lloyd, the man who was killed — allegedly by the Patriots star.

Scroll down to see 11 pictures of Shayanna Jenkins, the lady who has had her life turned upside down.

It’ll be interesting to see how this murder case unfolds. Will she go against her husband in an attempt to bring justice or will she stand by her man? Will she marry him to become his wife and avoid having to testify against him? Will she side with her sister or her man?

Whatever happens, let’s hope the baby is kept as the top priority in all of this. Here are the images we promised.

that's gotta be hard on them as sisters though. I can't imagine my sister's husband killing mine. And how we'd get past that. Wow.

that's actually usually how it works because people are stupid and commit more than one crime. they do it with rapists and murderers, arsonists, burglaries. people rarely stop when they get away with something ONCE. they think they're smart and they do it again and they have an MO. not rocket science. and it's good police work if they're not just pinning it on him bc he's there.  sounds more like his associates are talking which is what lead them to this cold case.
