I'm just so sick of these vendors on Aliexpress because once they get "outed" the quality goes down, or you find out that they're just buying from each other! They're just as bad as these AVs. Confused So, I want to know, how do you find a vendor that's NOT on aliexpress? Do I use alibaba? Do I look at google results starting at page 20? LOL What is it?

I read somewhere that alot of cvs on aliexpress basically do what avs do but it's wayyyyyyy easier for them to get the hair because there already in china so they don't have to worry about shipping fees and what not... So my best bet would to go on alibaba but ask plenty of question tho

Great thread *SkolarStar* I've been wondering the same thing, how DO you find a decent vendor? Honestly, it seems like no matter how expensive the hair is, how great of a rep the vendor has, there's always a review that says that the product is crap. It's just frustrating.

And I know you were joking but I've pondered doing a Google search and skipping to Page 20, lol. LOL

Alibaba has a feature where you can see how long the vendor has been in business. You can also place sample orders for smaller quantities, and if you like it, purchase more. I usually look for those with the gold supplier badge, and those that have been around for 4+ years.

I like this hair company called BetterThanBSS, They really have great prices and I've order from them twice since they've been open. They seem like therye really trying to give women an alternative other than BSS hair. The hair is actually really good quality, I've only had the loose wave and the straight both i wore for 3 months and I still have them. I dont know how to post pics yet but you should look at their IG @BetterThanBSS for reviews because everyone who is on a picture on their instagram is really helpful and they will tell you their true experience with the hair. I've only seen one dissatisfiedcustomer, and that was because they sent her the wrong hair. But it seemed like they really made an effort to make it up to her.
Oh! and here is there site betterthanbss.com lmk if you check them out

One of my PVs told me that they purchase the gold badge because it brings more customers (and alibaba pushes them to buy it after a year)

I've heard that too. I don't think the gold badge really means anything. Ouch

Yeah I don't think the gold badge has anything to do with the quality of the hair. I feel only buying and testing the hair will determine that.Confused

BSS hair comes from China, the only difference from the BSS hair and Ali Express hair is that you don't have to pay the RETAIL mark up price for the hair being housed in the bss store. Same hair without higher mark-up prices.

UM EXCUSE ME FOR DOING WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO ON A FORUM, WHICH IS ASK AND REPLY. If I was "plugging my own company" why would I even mention a bad review??? I had just made my account looking for natural hair products and saw a post I THOUGHT I could reply to. I had no idea there were so many rude women on here... I don't even know what stars you're talking about. Meanwhile I have glorious tresses for less and you don't. I recommend BetterThanBSS as a cheap alternative to aliexpress hair. Take it or leave it boo. Check ya wallet later I guess. And to the person who made this post, I ALSO TRIED TRUE GLORY hair. Their bundles are smaller and they cost a little more but the shipping is really quick compared to betterthanbss. Now yall go "plug" that.

The trial and error process over the years has been nothing less than stressful. You name it my friends and I have tried it, Sally, True Glorys stinky chemical hair Kim lee etc. I just learned to look for good quality hair at a fair price. I decided to go with a Black owned company who is based out of India, believe it or not but the owner actually sent me theyre pics over there at theyre manufacturing plant and the quality of the hair is good. Ive had my hair in for a while now and have had minimal shedding. Ive converted quite a few of my friends over to my supplier.

IMO I search for the gold stars because it kinda limits the scammers. Most scammers and fly by night vendors won't wanna pay the yearly rate for gold stars. I believe alibaba charges around 3 thousand for it.
