I can't pinpoint one, there are so many and I love discovering new foods. My problem is that when I experience a specific type of cuisine, I overdose on it for months and then get disgusted by it and then I have to leave it alone for a while. That's what happened when I first tried indian food and sushi, for instance.

And I agree that I prefer Haitian food to Jamaican (but then again I am biased, lol) because outside of indian food specifically, I don't much care for curry. The roties that I would see people devour around me left me cold. Love the jerk chicken though...

never had foods from any country in Africa...I'd like to though
I like Italian
rarely eat Indian
and I only eat stew chicken with rice and cabbage when eating Jamaican lol

I can't say what's best, but I think I experiment more with Thai and Japanese because it's not as spicy as other cultures

I love Moroccan food (most north African and middle eastern foods in general). I tried Senegalese food and I liked it a lot except for that peanut butter they put in their meat/chicken sometimes, which I truly hate.

I always thought Jamaican food was overrated....surprise surprise. I don't care what they try to say, ackee taste like eggs period. eggs on a tree darnit

Italian food is hands down one of my faves and their desserts are great.

Southern food. fingerlicking good

indian food is fantastic and very close to my culture food as West indian.
If I had to specify which west indian country I prefer I would have to say trinidad has the best food dishes I have ever tasted.

I also love Cuban food very much. Something about their rice does it for me and I do not even like rice so much. Strange.

I only like Greek Salads.

*Southern Food made with fresh grown ingredients from scratch (not this stuff out the can that is in soul food restaurants)

*Thai food in Thailand (not that fried street food).

*Japanese food in Japan makes me dream of marrying a man that is a Japanese chef.

This may sound bad...but after watching a documentry on viet food..most of their dishes came from the practice of poor people throwing whatever they had available in a pot. Sometimes not the cleanest of things. Pho can be good, though.

I love Italian, Japanese, Brazilian, Dominican, and I think Italian has the most user friendly meals. You know pasta, sauce, cream, tomatoes, bread. Who can't find something they like out of an Italian lineup? I decree a special love for good, properly done JAMAICAN food!!!! I have been known to throw a bow or two over some bomb ass jerk chicken and a rum punch on the side (wray and nephews a must)... Now I cannot do Indian, Ethiopian, well most African food (overall) without causing my digestive tract extreme dismay. That Indian food, will have you stankin for days, as the curry and cummin oozes from your pores!

I'm another one that think Jamaican food is overrated. The best West Indian Cuisine is Trinidadian IMO.

I definitely prefer Indo-Caribbean food to Indian food. There's a Indo-Guyanese restaurant in NYC that changed my life!

But I get that you have to find the right place. I didn't find a good Indian restaurant until I went to London. It was light years ahead of any Indian food I've ever had in the US.

Why would calling it soul food upset white people? I don't know why but the idea of them getting mad about that is rather hilarious.

If black restaurants are calling it southern cuisine, then it's probably because they want to seem upscale and get more bodies in their restaurant.

i'm assuming southern food.  since she is from the south...

Yeah I would use southern food.
I didn't think of it as a euphemism for soul food. Soul food sounds like something someone not from the south would call it

I like soul food and Greek food too. Italian is good as well.
Mexican and Chinese food is so damn overrated. I wanna cut my wrist every time I pass by one of their restaurants.
I don't like Indian food.
Idk what I am going to do if I marry my boy because I can't do Nigerian food at all.
