it depends on the % used. I just got mine done they other day because the weather is so gloomy and there isn't alot of sun. My skin looks kind of leathery and the skin starts to roll off.

I wish someone would tell her. The difference is clear. I don't know if she is bleaching but I have noticed that hands are a tell tale sign of someone who is.

Their face be all light and smooth and their hands look so old and dry.

TCA Peels

Information about TCA peels and what to expect | http://www.skinacea.com/facials/peels/TCA.html#idc-container" rel="nofollow - Comments (0)

TCA peel

TCA peels, trichloroacetic acid peels, are medium strength http://www.skinacea.com/facials/peels/chemical.html" rel="nofollow - chemical peels that rejuvenate and repair your skin. They improve skin discoloration, reduce fine lines, and even out skin texture. They also cause your skin to physically peel, so they will require around a week of downtime. However, the results are usually well worth the wait!

This section explains what happens during the various stages of the TCA peeling process and what you can expect from a TCA peel, whether you get one professionally done or give yourself one http://www.skinacea.com/how-to/use-chemical-peels.html" rel="nofollow - at-home .

I did them on myself. They are AWESOME at removing hyperpigmentation!

But always play it safe with chemical peels and research as much as you can. There is no such thing as too much research.

I used to document my chemical peels in the chem peel thread in the dark spot skin care section.

Honestly though, I recommend you get your skin used to chemical peels first before you even touch the tca peel. TCA is on a higher tier of skin exfoliation so prime your skin by getting used to peels by using less intense peels like a lactic or glycolic peel.

If anyone has questions about chem peels in general, ask and I shall answer. Tongue

God damn.. that woman in the video went too far. Her skin didn't even frost, it turned PURPLE? And her skin was exfoliated to the pink! She got mighty close to her dermis! She definitely went too far but she's very lucky she healed well. I hope she doesn't think that's normal of TCA peels otherwise she can hurt herself.

I met a woman who had a series of peels done before her wedding and the peels caused immediate premature wrinkling. She was white, looked to be in her late 20's and her face looked like an old piece of china with fine lines all throughout, I hope that wasn't permanent.

The 2% is mild and helps to ward off acne. I don't use them on the same day, maybe a few days apart. The combination peel is great and I've seen a difference in my skin over time. It's more even and a few rough patches have smoothed out.

I've seen where people are advised to use the salicylic, neutralise and then use the lactic or glycolic but I think I've only done that once.

Like anything you do, you need to educate yourself.

alot of people just order the stuff and don't know what they are doing.

I have been fortunate to work with a very good esthetician. I've only done one tca peel on my own at a low percentage with excellent results.

would an 85% or 88% lactic acid peel and retinol be effective for stretch marks?
