Can you ladies give me some examples of accessories you like and wear and for what occasions? I need some inspiration. By accessories I mean jewelry, handbags, hair accessories, etc.

Ive been wearing this chunky gold link bracelet lately.

I also dress plain as hell at work, so I jazz it up with some necklaces. Sorry no pics.

ETA.. similar to the bracelet furthest left..except mine wasn't $500

Is it tacky to wear a religious symbol for nonreligious reasons? For example the ankh?

i like bracelets like these..
i have the second one in orange and a purple/blue skakeskin one..
and i have that same first one.. thought it was gold hardware when i bought it though :-/

they have a belt too, a skinny one and a slightly wider one in both versions that i have been trying to get.

I don't think so.  Unless it's like a menorah...I've never seen that.

everyday jewelry depends on my mood. sometimes it's nothing. other times it's a pair of very thin gold hoops that aren't that big and a stack bracelets.

IMO that depends on your comfort level. Personally I wouldn't, but if it doesn't bother you, go for it.

for work.. im simple of course

for play..
i really love hoops... classic

I also have some fun.. trendier pieces.. that I might buy to wear to a club or something.

also my earring choice has to do w/ how im wearing my hair.

IMO they're not politically charged. But cowrie shells especially I OD'ed on as a child. So, I have no interest in wearing them now. That and those sea shell bracelets and necklaces I used to buy when we went to Florida or the islands.

These are adorbs. Are they 14K? If not are they hypoallergenic. I have sensitive skin too. I learned the hard way as a child buying the cheap stuff from Claire's and breaking out a few weeks later. Confused

Casual environment, not too strict. But when I work I like to be relatable, not too personal or polarizing.

I think cowry shells are fine.Smile

I'm pretty boho so take my list with a grain of salt.
If I wear earrings, silver Hoops (like 2in diameter) or studs for daily wear. Not the crazy big kind lol
I do love big flashy earrings from forever21, rue21, etc during the summer or when I'm going out.
I keep on my ring and necklace from my parents. They work for everyday.

My favorite bag styles I like:
A messenger bag for everyday
Messenger Bag: A bag with a long strap to be worn across the body that winds around the chest resting the bag on the lower back. Materials used in messenger bags are often more durable and water-resistant than traditional bags. Messenger bags are often used by bicycle messengers, though they are increasingly becoming an urban fashion icon.

Backpack (no owl lol) for certain outfits.
Backpack: a bag that is supported by the shoulders with double handles and lies across the back. Backpacks are supported on either one or both shoulders.

Satchel for when I'm dressing my age lol
Satchel: A structured handbag with double handles, locking hardware and a wide, flat bottom. May be large or small.

Excuse the bug bites on my hand (mosquitos were vicious this past summer) but since I have sensitive skin, I tend to stick to trendy jewelry pieces that I know won't make me break out. Leather studded bracelets are one of my go-tos.

The thick brown one in the last pic I took I got off ebay. All the other ones are designer ones that I received from attending fashion events. The first pic with my hand looking a HAM is all linea pelle. The hot pink is Ted Rossi, and the watch is a Skaagen (sp).

I have some other ones that I didn't take pics of that I got at H&M tho. :)

For a while I was obsessed with animal cocktail rings. I had an owl & this Koi fish. I'm truly OBSESSED with koi fish. I love their symbolism and how it relates to my journey.

I also have a massive butterfly ring running around somewhere but I don't know where the pic for that is!

With necklaces I tend to do delicate pieces - thin chains, small pendants. I feel like I look overwhelmed in anything else. My sis got me this massive chunky necklace from Ideeli and it's really cute but I can't fake the funk. I feel like a reject groupie from Run DMC.

However, I'm not against layering several thin chains. I used to have a name plate that I would layer with the necklace in my avi. I'm just looking for something good to replace my "heart of the ocean" necklace with. I've had it for years, but it's time to retire it!

I hate turtlenecks because once you put them on, you can't go shopping and try on clothes or anything because it's such a pain to get it on and off. It's like a one and done kind of thing. You can't take it off til you get home.

Just reading yall talking about turtle necks made me feel a slight loss of breath Dead

Oh I also like big non-hoop earrings (what is this called? Lol not exactly studs). I have some geometric black and gold drop ones I recently bought on ebay. I'm sure theyre a remake of something I cant afford. Lemme see if I can find a pic.

The "gold" on my fav pair is starting to turn and I cant find another pair to buy Cry
