I went on a cruise last week and decided to latch my hair for a waterproof hairstyle. I didn't want to deal with blending, products, brushing, plopping, clumping etc. So I bought 3 packs of the Biba 2 Jerry Braid in #2 and used 2 of them.

I forgot to take a picture of my braiding pattern but i basically parted my hair in the middle and braiding down then around to the back, picking up the end of each braid as I alternated sides. All pics are post cruise and salt water activities.

Thanks. It took about 3-4 hours. I braided down from the part and around to the back while connecting the ends of each braid as I alternate sides.

I use a http://www.walmart.com/ip/Silvalume-Double-End-Crochet-Hook-14-Size-H8-Turquoise/21989341" rel="nofollow - double ended crochet hook .

Also since it was such a tight curl I didn't knot near the part and I only pick up a few strands for every pass.

Coupled with the salt water and me refusing to wear a bonnet at night it lasted a little over 3 weeks. Lol! But it can last as long as 3 months depending on care, hair and texture.

So you actually got this hair wet?! Is it human or synthetic?

Yes I swam everyday in chlorinated and salt water. I'm a very active swimmer so no holding my head above water. It's synthetic.

LOVED it! I wish I could see the braiding style. I have done crochet braids once before but I HATED the way I braided my hair underneath. I want to figure out a different way. YouTube videos here I come! LOL

I love crochet braids!  For those wondering about how to wash/ maintain crochet braids done with synthetic braiding hair, I just posted a tutorial on how I do mine on my youtube channel.  Please check it out and give me feedback, thanks
