What do you think?
Have you ever seen someone all decked out at the grocery store, the mall, the movies, mcdonalds dining room?

What usually goes through your mind when you see this? Do you judge?
Are you one of those people who get all foxy to hit the corner store?

Or are yall apart of the 0 fcks crew?

Share Big smile

I have been part of the Ofcks crew for a while.  When I do see it at the commissary here on the military base I find myself applauding them in my soul.

Depends on who I'm with.

If I'm with my boo, I'm dressed to impress. I'm trying to look cute out here LOL I don't do anything fancy. It's more like casual but dressy.

If I'm with the fam, I'm in sweats and hoodies. Meh.

I used to be one of these people. In the past year, not so much but I've become more complacent all around. I'll still try to hide dark spots if I'm going to the corner store, though. I can't go completely bare

Never let them catch you slippin'!

Even if I'm just going to class. But then again, everyone dresses up professionally at my school...some professors require it in the syllabus. Appearances matter everywhere IMO.

I had a class last semester where this one girl faithfully came in wearing business casual attire. Our class was a creative writing class though so it wasnt for that.
I'm wondering now if she had a class afterwards that required it of her but she always looked off Ouch

I usually see teens/tweens in my area get all "jazzy" for the movies and i look at them and chuckle. I can kind of see if it were a date thing but it was just a large group of little girls.
A grown woman i wouldnt judge because for all i know she could have come from a date or work or something.

I might side eye folk who eat in the mcdonalds dining room dressed up before 11 pm though LOL

i actually admire people who can get dressed up all the time. that takes more effort. as long as you are not looking trashy....then i say always bring your best. i have to dress for work all the time, so li ike to dress down on weekend, but even on my dress down days my friends still say i look like im going to work. Ouch

judge who the eaters?
I would hope no one got fly to eat at a fast food establishment. After a certain time I could assume they were grabbing a bite before the club or after the club.

These are all things I notice/think about within a 3 second time span

2 months ago I came from some formal party and was all dressed up in Kroger. It felt awkward. I don't like standing out like that in a casual setting. I felt like I was doing too much, even though I actually had a reason for being dressed up and divalicious.

I think eh, they must’ve had a busy day. I dont really judge. People dressed up in a grocery store couldve just came from a big event and thought to get groceries out of the way before returning home. Or someone dressed up at the library could be there to get something done before going somewhere they need to be dressed up at.

lol People judge the fashion students at my school because we dress up “to go to class” (as others would put it). But most of the time, after class we have to go to work, or an interview, or a meeting, etc.

Sometimes I play dress up and wear a formal dress/gown to the grocery store. I like to pretend I'm a princess whose country just had their economy collapse and I'm forced to go grocery shopping for the first time.

I could care less how others look. One life to live. Do it up if you want, or don't..if you want.
I do me...whenever I feel...regardless of others. I may head to the mall with a beat face...beat to the Gods... and a hoodie and leather jacket. Depends on my mood. I hear hoodrats commenting to their friends at times. I turn around and flash a kool aid smile and a wink real quick, to fck with their heads. lol ppl take ish way too seriously man. And slack off on important stuff.

Sometimes I even go to the mall, like early in the day, and go get my makeup done for free at one of the counters. And when the eager saleslady asks me where I'm going that I'm need the dress and makeup for I tell her home to watch tv with a deadpan serious face.

Usually they just awkward smile and say "oh".

Reminds me, one time I was on my way to visit my SO in another city not too far from the city we live in. It was a beautiful summer day, and I was feeling good. So I got all dolled up. I was walking down the street and 3 girls passed me, and I heard one say 'she needs to take all that shyt off her face'
I sprinted back to that bytch so fast, grabbed her by the weave, and popped her ass in the face. She dropped to the floor, and her 2 friends scattered like mice. I said, where ya'll coochie ass bitches going? I'm one chic!!! Come back here heffas!!! I slapped the bitch on the ground playfully on the cheek and said, don't try that shyt again, ya hear?  Then slowly walked away like nothing happened. lmao. I can be a real hot head at times. I try to keep that kind of anger under wraps. Usually I just smile but that day I had a lot of adrenaline.

I don't think it takes any more effort to put on a suit than a part of sweatpants and a hoodie

But I don't own sweatpants or a hoodie so I don't know

I can put my makeup on in five minutes and if time is a problem, I can brush a kinky straight wig into my leave out before you can say "are you ready"

I might seem dressed up but it's my casual

I sprinted back to that bytch so fast, grabbed her by the weave, and popped her ass in the face. She dropped to the floor, and her 2 friends scattered like mice. I said, where ya'll coochie ass bitches going? I'm one chic!!! Come back here heffas!!! I slapped the bitch on the ground playfully on the cheek and said, don't try that shyt again, ya hear?  Then slowly walked away like nothing happened. lmao. I can be a real hot head at times. I try to keep that kind of anger under wraps. Usually I just smile but that day I had a lot of adrenaline.

im not sure what yall consider dolled up. i dont walk around in evening gowns and stilettos but i dont go out in sweatpants and tennis shoes all the time either. i wear what i want, when i want.

my family had a dinner a few weeks ago and i wore some skinny jeans, heel boots, and a plain black fitted long sleeved cotton tee shirt. my cousin asked me why i was all fancy.

I always seem over dressed at work or anywhere when I'm with these poli sci white boys.

It's a rare sight when they aren't in flip flops.
When we were at the state house it had to be a big deal bc they busted out the sperrys

My brother begged for these shoes for Christmas. All the kids wear them at this school (Catholic school). We gave them to him. Cry

Yeah, my brother is 16, and that's what the fancy kids at his school wear. They are ugly shoes IMO.

My mother been dissin my nikes because I've been wearing them around constantly since November. On Saturday we went to my sister's house and then to the movies, and she was like, Derri, you're in those sneakers again???

LOL I told her this apartment living life got me feeling real pop down. I always have to run outside to the dumpster to throw trash out, so I keep it by the door, and I usually reach for it. I don't even think she heard the whole sentence. She tuned out after she looked down at my feet. Whatever mom!!!

yep, I see it all the time. I have no problem seeing it; it's like whateves that's cool . what's annoying however, is having to wait on someone when yall are running into the store for a quick second or something BUT I have noticed that sometimes it's to your advantage to look your best or at least very presentable, even when going somewhere "unimportant". you never know who you may run into/ strike a conversation with. (you know how ppl be all up in your face)

I'm glad it isn't just my brother. I think they are overpriced, cheaply made shoes. I have no clue what kids see in those things.

I really don't care or assume that someone got dressed up just for the store. I've been to simple places dressed normal to dressed up depending on what I was doing that day.
