I hate that stuff! I use Hicks. It's not hard like ors but it lays just ad good, and no residue. It's a little pricy but for me it's worth it. A little goes a long way n the jar is a decent size.

I've used both Hicks and ORS Edge Control and I don't see much difference. I wet my edges w/ a mixture of Infusium 23 and water, almost let it dry, apply a little of regular gel, then apply whatever edge control. It helps w/ the flaking.

Aveda Control paste if Im wearing a straight style because it doesn't cause reversion.  For wavy or curly styles, I use Eco Styler gel.

Design essentials, weave aide, and hicks all work well and don't leave the grey residue/buildup that Ors,dr. miracle and the dark and Lovely Argan oil do. They cost 2-3 times more but the effect/ results are worth it

I use ORS edge control once a week and then on weekends wash the edges of my hair and apply Argan oil then wrap at night. That reduces my need to use edge control and my edges/baby hair´s get a rest too.

Yep Moco de gorilla.

I use it for curly styles. Just a little bit and a brush works well. I don't even have to tie it down.

Try a product by Hicks Transformations called "Edges".  This stuff is wonderful and works on all types of hair.  No flaking.  Also I don't have to use it everyday...maybe every other day.

Murray's is the best kept secret ever.  I also like Aveda's control paste but for the price Murrays is excellent and you will keep the supply forever.

All of the recommendations made work but they only work if your hair is freshly washed.  If you are due for a shampoo you can forget about any of them working.

Nothing will control my edges...does anyone know why this is? No matter what I put on it, it turns frizzy later on. Even the black hard gel from back in the day wont work

I'm partially obsessed with Krew Comb. Sorry if someone mentioned this already, I didn't read through the forum. It's not wet AT ALL which I love. I know they sell it in a stick but, I was able to find it in a jar at Sally's.

Here's a link to it on Sally's:

I had a lot of buildup with Hicks, similar to ORS.  Maybe I was using too much.

Those products dont mix well with other products.  I had to be careful with my leavein conditioners.
