Is there ever a time or a situation where you felt that you were dating someone who was out of your league; financially, professionally, looks wise?

I agree with femme a bit.

I used to consider my first "bf" out of my league. He was the it guy. Very popular, girls chased him, super nice, funny and attractive. This one pretty girl, who was obsessed with him, messed with his possessions and framed me... just to get himStern Smile. But at that time I was too worried about making a social blunder to really see my worth. Looking back, It was insecurity that made me believe he was out of my league. Not at all based in truth.

There's no such thing as out of my league...I date who I feel I deserve. Unfortunately I've gotten that wrong in the past, however, I've landed an amazing man.

@midna
Idk, but I dont think so. She went, "Awww corey, look what Concrete did to your backpack" while I was sitting right there. He just looked at me, smiled and made a 'tension easing' joke. Never really brought it up again.

He WAS great, I can't lie. A good first bf for an insecure teenager.

I did. But I was young.  Lemme splain:

First, this was my first serious relationship.  I was 18. He was 25.  He came from a wealthy family, a famous family.  I was from a poor family, never had "nice things", never really traveled,  and I was "virginal".  I was naive, trusting, not sophisticated; he spoke 3 languages fluently, and was world traveled.  He was a musician, and his parents owned a resturant.  Everything he taught me was new. I didn't know how to dress for the occasion, or what to say to people, cause I was shy had never been taught.  I had never lived on my own either.  So I felt he was out of my league.  He did teach me a lot.  We were together 4 solid years, 5, off and on.  And even today we are still friends, and he told me once, I was the one that got away.

Glad to say that I grew, and learned and changed, and he never made me feel less for not being uppity or conceited.  I think that's what he like about me.

Oh boy those were good times. Lol.

the guy im dating right now, is 'out of my league' financially/family money... physically i don't think he is out of my league, but he is the most fit guy i've ever dated, he runs/works out a lot. he is def smarter than i am since he is in med school.. he is more social than I am..

but i am just as awesome in different aspects.. and he adores me, sooo i guess that officially negates him bieng out of my league..

S.N:
can someone be out of your league that's obsessed with you? does that make sense?

Well looks wise there is a such thing as out of your league, Im a strong believer of dating within your own level of attractiveness. His fine ass is gone cheat on your ugly ass. I went below my league twice.....never a fvcking gain! Ugly men get cocky when they have a good looking woman on their arm and it turns my stomach, like nigra don't you realize I did you a favor?

financially and academically speaking, I've always dated guys who were in my league. Never spiritually though, my current SO is at a place in his relationship with God that I haven't reached yet. I really admire him for that.

I dated down...in every sense, looks, job, education, lifestyle...

But this negroid was so damn cocky, talkin bout how girls would always stare at him wherever he went. But I knew it was an act because he'd always asked if I really liked him because it was too good to be true and he thought I was better than him.

Never.again.
