Honestly we're not doing it BIG this year.

Grilled lamb chops (greek marinade with greek herb seasoning, olive oil, garlic, and lemon)

Baked Coca-cola ham (small bone in ham baked with dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, tabasco, brown sugar, and I pour a can of coca-cola over it and bake un covered.)

Cesar salad with bacon

Garlic scalloped potatoes (I heat butter and flour to make a rouge, add heavy cream, and milk with 6 smashed cloves of garlic...I take the garlic out before I add the cheeses).  I pour over the potatoes, bake covered. Part way through I uncover and add more cheese on top to make it brown and bubbly.

Corn on the cob or string beans

The boys might beg for my crock pot beans...I may throw them in.

Far cry from prior years lol!

I forgot about IHOP, waffle house is really far.
All I wanted to do was by a Wardrobe closet at IKEA, and some cleaning products and eat chinese food.

But everything is closed.Sleepy

Looks like dennys may be on the menu.

Nita Hug.  Are you in Michigan?  I am 45 minutes or so away.  One more is not going to hurt, there is a lot of food.  We are eating at 6:00 p.m., you can be late.  Send me a pm, and you are welcome to come to my home.

I planned to get some chinese food, do laundry, clean my apt, update my mp3 player, watch some movies and go buy a wardrobe closet.

That's all I wanted to do today. But I finally ate, and now I am doing laundry. Everything else is closed and I am out of the mood.

Okay, I do not know why I thought that you are in Michigan.  I just popped in to check, if you had responded.  Glad that you got something to eat.

dinner was a success.
Im so sleepy right now.

Pity-- thank u doll. You gave me an idea last night-- when you said something about ethnic spices to your brine..
I added a couple of spoons of "jerk" to my brine.. and today after it was cooked-- it was sooooooooo good.
so hugs for that one.

I actually had to run to my luv's  aunt's house-- so i had a plate of food there as well.

im stuffed.

So, I've come to the conclusion, I need to hire a cook.
Hopefully this guy has good rates.
