Have you ever wanted to ask a specific BHM member a question? Well ask it here...

Remember this is just for fun.

eta: You can ask anything you want and that member has the right to decline to comment. It can be anything from what's your favorite position to what's your favorite food to what's the hardest thing you've faced in life. This thread is NOT intended to be 'messy' or instigate anything. It's just for fun any to get to know your fellow BHMers.
Also, please quote the person who asked you a question when you are responding.

Don't know yet. I think we've settled on the year though"(2015). My sister might be postponing her wedding to 2014 since where she chose to do it is damaged from the storm and likely won't be ready by this spring giving my oldest sister adequate time to provide us with a niece, nephew, or both and get back into shape for our weddings

i haz a baby face. when i turned 25- i thought cutting my hair off (ear length) would help me look older.. lol

i failed. i looked like a lil kid w/ a short hair cut.. and i wanted long hair back asap.
i googled "grow african american hair fast"... and found this site.

i was in growth for ever.. but someone linked a thread to this  section where nadiapost had said something really funny-- and  i came down here to see what it was about.

i joined bhm for help with lacefronts and spent the first 2 years lurking or minimally posting in the lf section

ttt didn't tickle my fancy at first ...i never visited the basement until one bored day and i found it funny and even then i lurked for the first 3 months to observe the "culture of ttt"...by the time i started posting i knew the signs of ppl being messy and when loaded questions were asked to start drama lol

and in the beginning i found the craziness here super annoying and was vocal about it....now im more relaxed and dont care as much about the foolery LOL

I lurked for a long time when I went to college and I needed help with doing my hair...didn't help I gave up and cut it all off. Then a few years later a couple of coworkers were always on this site, I gave BHM a second look and found the makeup section so I joined. I didn't even venture into TTT for a few more years.

I first found BHM looking for hairstyles and tips in early '08 and browsed frequently. Then I found the body types section in a search and and joined in the beginning of '09. I stopped playing sports when i got to college and gained some serious weight(I've always been in shape so being 167 was very overweight for a person who was used to being 140ish) I wanted to lose weight and keep my shape.I stayed there mainly then moved to TTT when a thread from here was linked into the BT section. At first I just browsed here sporadically. Then I got suspended because of the faiz thread and got sick afterwards and stopped caring about the BT section. I came back and resurfaced in TTT. I go back to the 'block' every so often.

I came here  to study, I was originally supposed to go to Canada but that didn't work out. I also have family here that's why it was my second option.

Never encountered racism but I'm pretty sure that like anywhere else in the world it does exist. For the most part Australians are very friendly :)

As for the guys being good lookin.. I guess so but I'm not into white guys like that so if you mean other races (including black) they're alright lol.

I hated my relaxed hair, but for some reason I wanted to perm it in 2011. Some twat on here was raving about at one with nature kiddie perm, so I bought it. BIG MISTAKE. My hair was gone in 2 months. Don't use that perm y'all. Please dont

Yes, I do. Smile
What prompted you to move there??? What's it like? Are the people very racist? Are the guys good looking? Do you watch AFL?

I came here  to study, I was originally supposed to go to Canada but that didn't work out. I also have family here that's why it was my second option.
Never encountered racism but I'm pretty sure that like anywhere else in the world it does exist. For the most part Australians are very friendly :)
As for the guys being good lookin.. I guess so but I'm not into white guys like that so if you mean other races (including black) they're alright lol.
Nope.. Don't watch any form of footy to be honest. I'm not really big on sport. Well I do like tennis, went to the Australian Open semi-finals this year.. AWESOME experience! :D

Cool. I need to put that on my 'to visit' list.
Ugh. i would love to live in a footy nation. I told my SO we might have to live in England for a year or two.

Yes, Aussies are CRAZY about their footy...especially Melburnians.
Come on down! We have better weather than the Brits and the people are friendlier Big smile

To anyone who can answer:
<y hair is currently about 2-3 inches below waist length and if I cut of those ends it's full waist. However, I am natural and wear my hair straight in the winter and fall more often than not. If I cut my hair to look good worn straight to full bsb, will it terribly affect the shape of my natural hair if I were to wear twist/braid outs?

Yes and it also depends on what kinda accent it is.
General accent is OK but that ocker accent (country australian) sorta like the one Steve Irwin had is awful LOL

ITD, my hair is at hip length, and I find that after hair reaches a certain length, the shape really doesn't change that much, no matter how you style it. If you don't have any layers, it maintains its shape. At least that's been my experience.

I'm about a 5.5 on the ratchet scale, sliding up and down with my mood and the situation. I'm probably more boughetto than anything. I made up my screen name because I was watching a Basketball Wives Miami episode when Evelyn was screaming "You aint bout this life!!"

I joined bhm cuz I needed to know how to do crochet braids. I ended up reading what y'all were posting in the talk section though, and never really got to learning how to do dem braids. Oh well.

I had really damaged hair and wanted to get it back right and grow it longer. Then I stayed for the fckery
