What time was your curfew when you were living at home?

My lil sis is 17 and hers is at 9 ,well a little earlier now bc of the time change, so around 8.
She finally stopped whining about it so her and her boyfriend just do morning dates.

When was yours? Or when do you expect your teen home?

I never had one. I knew if I was gonna need a ride, then I had to call my mom at a decent time (before 8:30/9pm), but if I had a ride, or wasnt coming home, then I just had to call/text and let her know.

I didn't have one, but I also didn't have dates. If I was gonna go do something, I just spent the night at my friend's house cause I liked to and didn't have a car anyway

But after that when I would go home for summers she never tripped.

Her curfew depends on whether its with her boyfriend or with friends.
I remember mine being that way too but mine was never that early

When I was 17 I was already in college (still living at home and attending community college) and I was kind of a rebel soo.. I found ways around curfews.
LOL

But in highschool my weeknight curfew was 9pm
Fridays/Saturdays was 11pm.. I could get around this if I was with my siblings.

My little sister now is 19 and living at hm (going to community college right now).
She's a good kid and follows rules. Smile

Her curfew is 10:30 during the week
12 on the weekends (Fri/Sat)

Oh that's for Saturday if they don't have something school related to do, or Sundays after church.

Weekdays they are both busy so they just see each other around school

This. I begged my parents to get my belly button pierced from the moment I turned 16. My dad said yes, my mom had a moment. When I turned 19, I finally got it done on my own and once they found out about it, my dad was ok with it and he told my mom, well she's is not pregnant and shes making good grades in college so.. Every since then, I was piercing and tatting myself up.. They just didn't want to see them.. My parents were fairly lax with me though..

To answer the question at hand, my curfew was at 12 for my first 2 years in college. Whenever I broke it, my mom would pressure my dad to take my car from me. That lasted maybe 3 hours because as soon as he needed me to go to the store for him, I had my car back so.. Approve

I dont. If and/or when I implement a curfew for my hypothetical kids, the only variations will come with age. If I want my girl in at 12, my boy will be in at 12 as well, given that they're the same age.

my curfew was when school was out or when i got done with my afterschool activities smh. i think thats why i liked school so much and got involved with a lot of stuff so i wasn't stuck at home. i had to beg my mom to go out. i kept telling her there was bday party. my mom at one point was like why is it every weekend someone having a bday.

i had a "curfew".
but i also had a busy schedule. so they "knew" where i was when i was there.

they knew all my friends and their family too. it was like well-oiled machine.
they didn't anticipate that some parents weren't that well-oiled though lol.

but on like a day i didn't really have anything to do, i couldn't come in the house late.
you crazy.

sun goes down or they don't know where i am (or both), they would have the whole neighborhood looking for me.

womp womp drop her off home early. life is tough. it won't be a problem for my children because i won't let my kids date until after high school so they will have the same curfew.

I'd let my kids date. My mom would've let me date if a) my high school bf's werent so broke or if b) I wasnt borderline anti-social.

They wouldnt be driving until senior year, though, and by that time, we would've had so many sex talks and so many "dont come home with nuthin (being babies or diseases)" discussions that I'd trust their judgement.

Never heard over a year.
I was told 4-8 weeks and they healed during that time frame.
Wore sports bras and sprayed that salt tonic thing and I felt fine.
The actual needle going through was a good kinda pain.

It heals quicker because there is alot of blood flow to the nipples.

A year is a long time.
Mine didn't take nearly that long

You can't change them for a while and just keep them really clean.

@Jones: Do you mean when the nipples are at rest? One of them gets completely flat (unable to see an imprint in a shirt) while the other is always a bit noticable. But, they're both really sensitive. If a warm breeze blows, they'll both wake up and stand at attention.

@nycdiva: honestly, Im really only concerned about the action that I might miss out onLOL. Im not too worried about the cold winter air, it's only genuinely cold around here for maybe a month or two. Even then, it's usually at night.

I remember back when I was 18. I had just turned 18 a few months before. I still lived at home but was in college. I came back for one of the breaks and I left one day (told my parents) and didn't return until the next day. My parents were pissed. My dad told me to get out of his house Ouch.
I think I was supposed to be in by midnight.

I was on my own at 16. When I was younger, the street lights were my curfew. For my two teens, on school days 9:00 on weekends 11:00 or I'll extend it if there is a party or something.

And one time, senior year of HS. I spent the night with my friend. Well, I stayed at her house all night and all day. Then we decided to go over her other friend's house who lived all the way across town. My parents called me that next night to find out where I was and why didn't I come home and how I need to come home at a reasonable time.

It's very reasonable for a school aged child that stays with their parents and want to be deemed as respectable. I wish one of my teens would walk in here past a decent hour. I'll do a full speed running drop kick in their chest.

I didn't officially have a curfew. But I knew what would happen if I did come home late. My parents believed in belt whoopings and kept going until I was way past the age of that. But I would sneak out regardless and would deal with the consequences if I got caught.

Didn't have a curfew until my senior year. (Didn't go out until my senior year.) And then it was 12. But I live alone now, and I'm always afraid I'm gonna be murdered or something. So I get in around 10 at the latest.

At 17 I had a 11:45pm curfew, my dad didn't feel that there is anything good out there for a girl after midnight. I didn't really go out during the week.

I didn't have a curfew before 18 because I was a homebody like other folk.

Once I started going out a lot at 20, I didn't have a curfew with my mom. Just call let her know where I was and who was I there with for safety reasons. Same now.

My dad had me on curfew from 18-21Stern Smile. It was about 12-1am. Now when I go down to visit, he offers to pick me up if I go out and end up drinking any alcohol. I don't ever plan on having that happen when I visit but I appreciate the gesture.

I dont. If and/or when I implement a curfew for my hypothetical kids, the only variations will come with age. If I want my girl in at 12, my boy will be in at 12 as well, given that they're the same age.

I think this is so funny! My male family members had/have early curfews and none of us girls have any at all. LOLLOLLOL Although the overall curfew was extended when we were all together hanging out.

To answer the OP's question, I never had a curfew and on Fridays and Saturdays the folks were lucky to see me before 5:00am. I always checked in though by text message.

I didn't really have a set time, but when I was under 16 it was before dark. When I was 17 (I graduated at 17, just turned 17 too.), it was probably around 12am. I legally don't have a curfew now, but my parents prefer before 1am since I live with them. When I'm staying at my friend's house I stay out as long as I please. I have stayed out til 3am before.

If I had a child until they are 18 it would be before 12am. After 18 (if they are living with me), I want them back before 2am (unless they go clubbing/bar hopping/etc., then it turns to 3am).
