I'm working on doctoring my first ever closure purchase. The hairline is too thick but I have been tweezing it and it's getting better. Also The hair seems to stick up and only wants to part in certain ways. I asked for freestyle parting. I don't know if this is normal or not. I washed and conditioned it yesterday so I will see if it gets better.

i made a brown sugar oatmeal coconut oil body scrub. it smells yummy and leaves my skin silky.

i want to try that tresseme mud mask for hair but i am alittle reluctant because it has bentonite clay in it and im relaxed. i dont want to dry my hair out.

i also bought this pretty gel nail polish by sally hansen

i need to do a facial too. i fell asleep without washing off my makeup last week and now im paying for it. all that hard work down the drain for one mistake. smh

Putting plaits in my hair as I type. This will be my winter style until around my birthday in February more than likely. Also probably gonna conjure up a face scrub with this oatmeal that's been sitting in my pantry since I bought this big canister and don't even have a taste for it anymore.

sure!

all u need is

brown sugar
coconut oil
olive oil
dry oatmeal ( i grind it up in the blender alittle to make it powdery)
vanilla essential oil ( about a drop or two)

mix everything together and store in a nice jar with a lid. it doesnt have to be refrigerated. it should last about a month.make sure you dont get water into your mixture while showering. it can cause bacteria to grow. i usually transfer some to a little plastic container instead of taking the whole jar in the shower.

Thinking of getting marley twists. Pressed hair is annoying and I don't really want a weave.

Replaced my cocoa butter with shea butter, and bought coconut and grapeseed oil.
I've been brushing my teeth with baking soda to whiten them, and I've only done a couple times, but I definitely see a difference. I've also been showering with african black soap once a week, and it's really cleared up some the of the dark spots on my back. The rest of the week I use some of that Dove Moisturizing body wash.

I might start twisting my hair more often.
I am using a body scrub more often and using a cocoa butter afterwards.
I plan on incorporating dry brushing.
I plan on doing a raw honey and turmeric mask.

I am about to make some flax seed gel and try out a twist/bantu knot out, small enough to make a big fluffy curly fro.

I am leaning towards doing some box braids. Not big enough to be poetic justice but, def with a fuller braid, if that makes sense. Black with a pop of color.

In the new year I think I want to do something totally diff. A short/assymetrical/random relaxed cut, or start locs, or SOMETHING. I am bored with my natural hair.

I just started to add henna to my hair, I will do that two more times this month.
I also just started using Bentonite clay as well, I'm going to use that as a facial wash and hair cleanser.
I will not add heat all month, twists or wash n goes all month!

I gave in to the creamy crack almost a week ago.. After 13.5 months of being natural. My hair didn't straighten completely but its wavy and I have no plans to relax it again anytime soon..

I almost feel like I cheated in the natural section. Next stop APL..

Can't decide if I plan to do a long term transition again and chop or what..

I'm right behind you.

I really tried but I just had a much easier time with my relaxed hair and I find it too time consuming and disappointing now.

I'm holding off because it was mostly humidity that pissed me off and its finally cooling down here, but that creamy crack is calling my name.

Apparently, I've been using fake African Black Soap.

This past weekend, my mom and I went to the Ultimate Women's Expo, and bought some legit African Black Soap. It's brown and kinda looks like boobooStern Smile

Anyway, I've been using it everyday this week, and now my skin is purging like a muhfcukaCry. Honestly, I havent had this many pimples on my face since middle schoolCryCryCryCryCry.

Is this just something that I have to wait out, or is there some super secret skincare tip that can help me bypass this? My face needs to look photo ready by next weekend.Stern Smile

I tried flax for about six months and it didn't really do much. I think my eczema is more diet/weather related. Stupid fish allergies mean I can't have fish oil, but I'm trying krill oil and evening primrose now too. I'll let you know how it goes.

Why? My cousin is going to do this. She says it's because the lady didn't cut her hair short enough and she wants to experience all the stages of growth. She says she never got to do her Caesar cut. And she's been fully natural a year now. The hair from her crown reaches the tip of her nose. Confused

i wanted to do long fishtail braids, so i'm weaved up (completely). The hair feels super longer than when I wore it over the summer since i don't have any leaveout in the back.

I switched to natural deodorant (which is a pain in the ass) and the dark areas under my pits are lightening up.

For my skin, I've just been drinking A LOT of water (like 90 oz a day on average). It's much clearer, smoother, and brighter.

Skin:  Going to continue using Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser as my primary and follow up with Witch Hazel when I feel that I need to.  Before bed I will continue to use aloe vera gel after i wash to protect and heal my skin while I sleep.

I still need to find a replacement sensitive skin exfoliator.

Hair:  I recently did a corrective relaxer after being texlaxed for a year and it was the best decision of my recent life.  Now I am just going to take care of it to get back to my old length.

I'm going to keep using mainstream shampoo and conditioner on my hair because I've been wasting too much money on natural products that were leaving my hair a mess.  Herbal Essences and Aussie have been making my hair look lovely lately.  I'm also using less product in my hair to keep it from looking gross after a week.

Me too, as soon as I got rid of that piece of junk doghair brush, I was able to retain all my length. I even inspired my creamy crack happy mom to go natural.

Waiting on these lactic and glycolic peels I ordered. I'm hoping they will help fade these damn acne scars on my cheeks.

sounds like a good regimen. Is cetaphil good for acne/oily skins? I keep seeing it in the drug store however it's quite expensive over here.

And ia with using less product, i hate greasy hair due to product build up.

o dear
Cotdam! I'm thinking of a safe way to toss my Aussie instant freeze hairspray I just bought for 3 dollars to keep my wig cap in place. Your video made me take a closer look and the firs thing it says is "Flammable: "do not use near flame or while smoking, use only in ventilated areas"
I was already upset that it came out wet instead of in a mist...

Where do you get turmeric powder? I need some to add to my bentonite masks and my food since it's supposed to be anti-inflammatory.

I will be getting my first ever dominican rollerset on tuesday. I know it won't look like a regular rollerset since I'm natural, but hopefully it'll be cute. After that I'll put back in chunky kinky twists.

I can't wait until black friday...I will be stocking up on hair products.

And I'll be making some bone broth this weekend so I can start drinking it every morning. That will be my daily vitamin.
