Waiting for God to Intervene
By Dr. Charles Stanley

http://c.msg4svc.net/ctvyk/452033/68/1365410/41998/0/H/0/0/nrxf.html" rel="nofollow - Are you currently waiting for the Lord to intervene in some way in your life or in the life of a loved one? One of the struggles we face as Christians is trying to understand why our heavenly Father sometimes delays over matters that are so urgent to us. Only the Lord knows all the reasons. However, there are several adjustments we can make in our attitude and mindset as we wait.

Determine your focus. In the urgency of the moment, it's easy to center our attention on the need instead of on God. We may start out waiting for the Lord but end up waiting for the answer we want. Soon we're more interested in what He can do for us than we are in Him. Sometimes God delays until we get our focus back on Him. He wants us to delight in Him, not just in what He gives us.

Release your expectations into His hands. The Lord is working on our behalf, but sometimes we cling so tightly to a desired outcome that He must wait until we open our hands and let go of our expectations. Holding onto your own assumptions about how the Lord should intervene is emotionally exhausting. But peace awaits those who trust that He will do what is in our best interests--in every situation we encounter.

We need to remember that while we are waiting, God is working. He sees the entire picture and is active behind the scenes, arranging everything according to His will. But perhaps His most important work is the deepening of our relationship with Him as we learn to love and trust Him in the wait.

when I first heard this song I'm ashamed to say I was at a Luncheon....
Teenagers preformed  mime style.....
I started crying & couldn't stop.. . Others at the table that I didnt know started crying too.
My Mom whispered are u ok? she didn't have a clue how or why this song moved me so.
this was so unlike me. Mom was embarrassed.Embarrassed of course
I felt this song was written for me.  It was dead on w what I was going thru.
its my mantra when I'm wanna lose it or what ever upset me.
I repeat over & over leggo  let God
  leggo let God
like a crazy woman....... but it help me. He handle it whatever it is.

I have been guilty of that and I know how hard it is to wait on God when he isn't delivering what I want, the way I want. This thread was refreshing.Star

Also, I found that James 1:2-3 complements it:

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,
because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance."

Wait on God to Move

Good Morning Sisters and Brothers,

I hope that your hearts are rejoicing knowing that God has blessed you to see a brand new year and day. Start your day with God by waiting in God to move. Your wait must not be in the still mode. It must be in worship, praise and with prayer and fasting. Waiting means catching the directions and the movement of God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Hear His voice for directions and know that He is always for you. “I wait for your salvation, O LORD.” – (Genesis 49:18 ESV)! So be encouraged this morning and know that your time in God and with Him will cause you to grow, so wait on Him in His presence.

For Jan 1,2018: Challenge of the day: Hear the voice of God in His presence as you experience His help and protection for your life. God has not forgotten about you. Trust Him with your life and watch your life and surroundings change!!!!! “20 Our soul waits for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name.” – (Psalm 33:20-21 ESV)

To God Be the Glory and Peace be unto you,

Eyes of Faith
David Jeremiah

O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.
2 Chronicles 20:12

http://iz3.me/8fNa1z140tE1" rel="nofollow - There are times in life when we have done everything we know to do in the face of a crisis -- an illness, a financial reversal, an approaching natural disaster, a family problem. To paraphrase the apostle Paul when he wrote about spiritual armor in those times, "having done all, [we can only] stand" (Ephesians 6:13). But stand how? While tempted to stand in fear, the Bible encourages us to stand in faith in the One who can do what we cannot.

King Jehoshaphat of Judah found himself in such a situation when neighboring kings banded together against him. His army was vastly outnumbered, so he did the only thing he could do. He stood in faith rather than fear. In prayer, before all the people, he called upon God to defend His own name. His final confession was brutally honest: "We don’t know what to do, but our eyes are on You."

If you find that you have done everything you know to do and the crisis is not yet solved, stand in faith. God is faithful and true. Confess your inability and His ability, and keep your eyes on Him.

The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith, and the beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety.
