Subject: which UK hair company is best?

Hi

I want to weave my hair for the winter but as money will be tight I want to buy decent hair that does not look shabby after a week. The last hair I bought was one of the curly Sleek ones which meant it came out quickly a tangled mess. such a waste of money

Anyway I have browsed the forum and my searches keep timing out

I just want to know a good uk based hair company that has their own website (a big no to facebook sellers)
I have heard of  pauls hair world http://www.pauls-hair-world.co.uk/ , whitney marie http://www.whitneymarieuk.com/ ,  the virgin hair company,  http://www.thevirginhaircompany.co.uk/ , yaya hair company http://www.yayahaircompany.co.uk/default.html

I have friends who shop from Paul's but I thought  check 1st. Right now I cant source a chinese vendor right now no time too...and just want decent hair that can last about 6-12 months of installs (take down clean re-install)

Just after straight or wavy hair

Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been asked before but as my intro says I have tried

I subscribe to Beautybyjj & she wears hair from http://www.whitneymarieuk.com/p0/hair-extensions/23.htm she has a couple of videos reviewing the hair. Here's the link to one of them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_Dy0snmCsA&feature=youtube_gdata_player   Good luck!

I bought from the virgin hair company uk and their all 12 ounces turned into a tangled matted mess! I will neeeeeeeeeeever purchase form that company ever again. The hair starts to tangle three days after a wash, needs to be brushed constantly and is sitting in my closet a matted ball. It was my first "virgin" purchase and I have since come to realize that it is most certainly NOT virgin hair.

A shrunken matted up piece

A lot of students buy from here,  write on their wall and they'll contact you back almost immediately. This lady sells some good hair cos I've used their Indian and Brazilian twice each time since last summer.

The thing is. If you can have a facebook page surely you can have a website. Or even a free blog website with payment options. Still unsure about the whole fb page

Exactly. What recourse do you have if something goes wrong??? They aren't even a registered company. Royal Princess Hair( i tried to warn people) have removed their website and gone underground. All these girls selling weave via facebook is just so dodgy to me and its short lived fly by night ventures to make a bit of money on the side.
Also i saw Black hair magazine on twitter recommend good hair- another facebook seller, and i thought it was sooo unprofessional for a publication to do that. Maybe one of their cousin's works there.

Have to agree, as a fellow small business owner, not having a website is just pure lazy.
Totally understand when you 1st start out, but once you start taking some profit surely the 1st thing you do is pay someone £500 to sort you out something basic.

As a web based business your website is your shop front, Facebook is great, but surly they should be using it to drive traffic to their site, or as a payment gateway, not as the main site.

But then again, Facebook is trying to take over the world (trust me), it is happening already, they know everything about your web movements, purely so they can use this data and sell it to companies, so in a couple of years it will problem much more acceptable to have a facebook only business, although i like money, so have both. Not everybody is on Facebook!

I think this is my 1st rant  LOL

Another thing with Facebook, it is a site that does not respect privacy so even if said hair sellers had fb checkouts or whatever fb is trying I would not use.

I know a lady that has a website and sells real good hair, also has a facebook page for more info of what she got whoever is intertested please send me a private message I'll direct you to her FB page and you'll see the website too, amazing is an understatement for her hair, her name is Augusta she grew up in Brazil and anytime she go home she comes back with tons of hair, in small towns of Brazil people will collect hair and start wefting and then transport to wholesalers for retailing, apparently Brazilian hair is highly sought after among Brazilian themselves too LOL so yeah I don't wanna be caught out for spamming PM me if you are interested in her info

Facebook is free. That's why. (not that I agree).

Tbh, in terms of doing transactions through facebook it's an option being looked at by a lot of high street banks...along with applying for cards/loans.

i'd buy from a facebook vendor mainly because I can see on the comments on the wall if a lot of people buy from them and the feeback. it's just nice not to have to search high and low for reviews its right there. I wanted to try a closure from good hair, they look FLAWLESS.

In the UK, to me they are all the same you can't spot that much difference apart from the ''good hair'' people their product appear better in pictures for some reasons. The ones with a Facebook page and a website is more Ideal so I just see facebook for exposure and reviews. All the other skanky ones around no website and likely unregistered would tell you to pay the money into their personal account who would do that?Confused but top five from UK IMO but beware ratings only based around hype, personal experience and what I sense only (with facebook and website) in my opinion are:

0.  http://www.facebook.com/GoodHairLtd - http://www.facebook.com/GoodHairLtd - never tried just watching the hype. They don't get a number because no website but I guess they are legit, their quality to price ratio is questionable though

1.  http://www.facebook.com/michealls.hair - http://www.facebook.com/michealls.hair - I had my first virgin hair from this back at college I can't remember how it went but legit and website ok. Friends experience was not bad either

2.  http://www.facebook.com/vanitylocks - http://www.facebook.com/vanitylocks  - Legit judging by a friends experience and website intact but I was waiting for day for updates

3.  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Flawless-Hair/218430744883094?ref=ts - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Flawless-Hair/218430744883094?ref=ts - I attend Manchester uni lol. If you live in north-west area you'll know them legit with the hype/ experience website ok too

4.  http://www.facebook.com/LoLavitaHair?ref=ts - http://www.facebook.com/LoLavitaHair?ref=ts Legit based on hype alone and website ok

5.  http://www.facebook.com/pagesao-Hair/149051335139667 - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nao-Hair/149051335139667 This is good but a bit pricey and picture looks good. Legit and website ok

I don't know anyone that has bought from good hair, but I'm definately interested. Their prices are a bitShocked but if the hair is coming direct then aren't the prices good?Confused Their page has thousands of fans, but not one review which makes me a bit skeptical. Does anyone know anybody that has ordered for them? There's a thread I already started about this particular fb company.

But you  can just create dummy accounts and get your friends to post good comments.

I don't  know about good hair prices, but if they are hugh  but they should be able to afford a website by now. Its just not professional, but if people are buying *shrugs*

they say they went to Cambodia, Thailand and Mongolia but they don't even have places of any attractions of the places they went to? Confused, but just pictures of them in a store? I can go to an Indian man's shop in England with Indian people in it with loads of hair and say I'm in India and do the same with Chinese etc. Besides, I was a bit skeptical about their pictures, there's on picture which says they are in Cambodia, but when I googled the number on the billboard in the background, it's a Thailand company, googled their hotel and its a Thai hotel. My guess is they just went to Thailand & got loads of hair at different shops and are deceiving un-knowing consumers that they went to all these countries.

I wonder why you thought its from direct, their images look gorgeous but no one has gotten close to the hair, no YT review no word of mouth no website nothing just a FB hype. The only YT review is by their friendOuch and its the only one. If I had so much money I'll give them a try but for now nothing will possess me to purchase a 10 inch hair for over a hundred pounds

im studying in Manchester area as well so i know number 3 Flawless hair and have couple of friends that wear this, i know number 4 Lolavita but it shouldn't be on the lists its out of UK then I know good hair by hype. Personally from FB I've tried precious virgin hair it was cute at first but the hair seems to grow shorter and thinner it dont look brazilian no more but it was partly my fault as i was fixing it at all timesLOL  I'm planning to get some flawless hair before i head home this xmas some style suggestion please im tired of centre parting and curly sidesSleepy

I don't think the UK has any good hair companies to write home about. Most of the companies claim to have the best hair on the market when really they all just buy from China.

Love Hair Online is probably the worst hair company I've ever bought hair from.
Good hair is overprices, never purchased from them before though.

You're better off trying out the hair companies mentioned on the forum, at least its half the price and you're not at a loss.
