My last set of kinky twist were without curls on the end. I actually prefer this look . I had my friend do medium sized twists and she just cut of the excess ,but the hair stayed twisted and had a nice natural look. Plus I always dreaded that dipping in hot water process.

do you have pics? I'm debating kinkies vs senegalese. I've never had senegalese, and I want to try kinkies without the curl

thanks for replyinBig smile

I only wear mine straight never had them curly but unfortunately I have never taken photos. They look by far more natural and the hot water Shocked is something that I stay away from, learnt my lesson the hard way.

OP what is the difference between kinky twist and senegalese, I always assumed they were the same thing?

from what I gather they are usually longer, use kanekalon hair (or non kinky hair texture), and are usually left straight, but can be curled. they are also silky. I've never had them though.

the curled kinkies look tacky. I never liked the look and am gonna tell my stylist how i want them this time. Im too lazy to really do it myself >_>

I've done them......I don't have pics, but it's not hard to picture in your head. They can be mistaken for locs from afar. I don't like the curly twists either, and some of them are sooo curly that it looks laughable, lol!

I know this post is old, but here is a picture. I never cared much for the curly ends...

Don't you twist the individual strands when doing Senegalese? I believe that is the difference. The individual strands have to be twisted before twisting them together.
