Just wondering How often do you blow dry you natural hair?   and if you blow dry too much can your hair begin to break even if you do it on a low temp?

Like once a week and yes you can still damage it on low tep. Try the ponytail method.

I think she means banding

I blow dry like once a year when pressing, but last time I did that was over a year ago....

I band too...

Ew I don't even know if I'm sure where my blowdrier is.... lol!

I did blowdry before my last press but usually I just let it dry in twists then flat iron it.

I usually air dry my hair...I blow dry 3 or 4 times a year...when I flat iron my hair, since it is easier to flat iron if it is blow dried a bit first.

Today was the first time I blow dried my hair since my final relaxer which was April 09. But I usually air dry my hair. Its so cold in NY right now, so I don't want to walk around my house with a damp head.

so pretty much everyone air drys! I normally air dry also, But the other day I decided to blow dry my hair and I loved the outcome, I just didn't know if I did it @ least twice a month would it become damaging to my hair.

Am I the only one who towel dries..?
o.o
I know it isn't the best for my hair.. but it dries too slow.

if I want my hair to dry faster I'll soak up the water with a t-shirt, but I won't use a terry cloth towel.

though mostly, I just let it dry all by itself :3

When my hair is out every 2-3 weeks on low. Banding doesn't work for me, i'll lose more hair from tangles and shrinking puff ends, then using the tension method with a blowdryer. I don't have time to air dry. I need to get my hair done in the evening before bed.

I think I'm the minority in here but I really do prefer using blowdryers if I plan on flatironing my hair. My hair is healthier than it has been in a long time.

I love the look of blowdried hair...but sadly I don't do it often...maybe once every 4 months...My hair is very fine and I am afraid it will cause breakage if I do it too often.

^^ Same thing with me. Thats y I didn't know if anyone suffers from heat damage from blow drying.

^^ I highly doubt you can get it from blow drying.

It could dry your hair out or break it if your not careful. But heat damage?? i'm gonna say no. I think only flatirons, curling irons, pressing combs, etc. cause heat damage.. But that's just IMO.

I have , my hair is heat sensitive

I was fixin to say yes you can get heat damage from blow drying it depends on the heat setting and your hair. I hated when my hair was relaxed and the stylist would have my hair smoking from blow drying.

But to each their own. I have not put direct heat on my hair since I BCd in February of this year.

I use to blow dry my hair just about the same ^^ but over the last month Ive been using alot of heat, I believe I might have some heat damage. because my hair is fragile.

no blow dryer for me. I do however want to try a silk wrap. Rollerset hair first, once dry wrap it, then wrap your head in plastic wrap and go back under the hooded dryer.
Hair is nice and straight!

So by blowdrying we mean with the comb attachment? Because I blowdry my hair just about everyday but its always on cool/warm with a diffuser so I'm not sitting around with wet hair all day

never...I'm obessessed with my curliesWink

I don't think diffusing on a warm/cool temp is damaging, as the heat doesn't neccessarily have direct contact with your hair and I'm assuming that the "heat" is more cool than hot...

Yeah the plastic never actually touches my hair when I blowdry.  It's just that I cowash in the morning and don't have time to air dry.
