I have never used this program before but need to make an impactful presentation for my grad school practicum and want to wow the audience. Do you prefer Prezi over powerpoint? Has anyone created their own graphics or do you just borrow from the internet? Anyone have any examples of their own that they care to share? ThanksShift+R improves the quality of this image. Shift+A improves the quality of all images on this page.

I've used it before and as far as it being better depends on the topic of ur presentation. IMO... Regardless of whether you use reg PPT or Prezi you dont want your message to be missed because ur graphics are to distracting. With Prezi its easy for that to happen because some of those presentations have a lot going on.


The impact it has on the audience has more to do with ur delivery than the slides themselves. I created my own graphics because it was for an advertising project.  Good luck!

Exactly what I was thinking. I may start out with powerpoint and then convert.

Yeah my prof was a stickler for ppt presentations. He felt that too many students relied on the graphics moreso than being informative and working on their delivery. So yeah Id make sure my ppt is of good standing and then work in the graphics instead of working around them.

Okay, you guys have basically decided for me. My presentation will be at a government agency so I think Prezi is out. I may use it for other presentations though. Thanks for the responses.

Oooooh gosh girl... if u would have said that i would of said no earlierLOL. They might look at it as being amateur'ish. Even with a strong message they could be sitting there thinking " why did she feel the need to..." and u dont want them second guessing. I think u can still do graphics but they should be subtle.
