Had no idea which section this goes up under, but i have 4C hair and when i leave it braided for more than 2weeks it sheds alot when i wash it, so i wear UParts. I was wondering if i pressed my hair before a sew in will the shedding stop?

Your hair naturally sheds a bunch of strands daily so when you take down your braids and comb all of those strands finally are out of your head.  Basically its seems like a lot but really its just an accumulation. If the amount if excessive you should try Alter Ego Garlic conditioner to combat the shedding and also figure out if you are lacking protein or moisture and add it to your reggy.

I would repost this in the growth section for more help if I were you.
