The black men who love black women genuinely without some backhanded crap usually show their love. They can talk about it, but they prefer to be about it because it's natural.

But if you'd like an accurate image of the average user of the term "black queens," have this photo of BlackHairMedia member Midwest Messiah, free of charge! Big smile

LOL this guy is innocent until proven guilty.

but it was a spoken word event so all he can do is speak in that short time.  i don't put it past a guy to be on some b.s. but i'd need to hear it.

If you don't stop acting brand new; trying to call MM innocent until proven guilty. You are too seasoned for that TTT Jr. behavior! LOL

Anyway, I'm not bagging on the dude who spoke. But I do believe that user raised some very quality points I agree with.

Sometimes ppl use these words for sensationalism alone.
I think that was the case with her blog entry.

I personally think it's appropriate. Misogyny is a strong term to use but I do believe it correctly applies because let's be honest, the society we live in is highly patriarchal and patriarchy in America is strongly fueled by misogyny.

Now when she uses that term, I don't believe she means it in a way where she implies the guy hates women. But the way he thinks of women is a product of misogyny. This guy has internalized misogyny so he operates accordingly.

It's like a white person not meaning to be racist but doing and saying racist things without the intent of hatred.

The masses of all communities actively avoid such hot button topics for the preservation of privilege, comfort, and status quo. Ouch

i care....because she said thank if you agree with this statement...if we're talking about a completely make believe story then sure, but i thought it was based on something only the speaker witnessed in real life so...i can't auto hop on this without more details.  and i give it to black men all the time, so...

@midna...lol i was NOT talking about MM, i meant the poet.

Wait...we're saying that black males have no male privilege in a patriarchal society because they're black? Even within the community?

Oh.
