Post-relaxer breakage :'(

OP, sounds almost like the text book overprocessing case. Like, what some one said before, relaxer day is not a day you should be in a rush. You have to start being meticulous about everything the week before your relaxer up to the week after. I never leave everything to the salon. I base myself, part myself, I watch everything they do, tell them what not to do, tell them when I don't like what their doing. I'm essentially relaxing my own hair with a different pair of hands. Sometimes I feel like I might be too bossy but then I remember that it's MY hair and there's no point in paying for something I won't be happy with. You might even end up dishing out more cash to correct something that could've been avoided if you just spoke up.

That aside, I've washed my hair 4 days after a relaxer and it didn't revert or increase my breakage. Some people even do it 48 days after. You don't always need a whole 10 days. You've probably solved your problem by now but I just wanted to give my 2 cents. Make sure you're careful next time buddy.
