well umm....ok....

i have to do something though, my hair can take protein but not anything overdone. in the past ive been ok taking protein treatments for breakage

everyones hair is different i guess. my hair craves moisture usually though, but this breakage is insane. cant wait for tomorrow!

How often do you usually do protein treatments? And how does your hair react to protein? Cus u don't wanna increase how often you do it and then result in more breakage...and too much protein can have that affect. I do protein once a month. I use ORS replishing pak every wash but as i said before that is more moisture than it is protein.

Well ive notiiced before that my hair doesnt respond to too much protein at once...a couple months ago i did a reconstructor AND added an egg, and left it in for about 45 mins..and my hair was sooooo stiff and actually broke up more when i tried combing it out, because it was so hard.

but i dont usually do too many protein treatments cause my hair is naturally very dry, so it usually needs more moisture than protein, but this time the breakage was so serious...

ack!  sorry to hear, hun!  this is why i stopped relaxing my hair...everything could be fine for a while until your stylist has a bad/off day.  waaaay too unpredictable....the same thing happened to me...and i didn't stop after the first time...i still went back for more...smdh.

anyway, i hope you figure it out.  has the breakage gotten any better?

IA with Lady Gem.  Use a clarigying/chelating shampoo, do a good protein treatment like aphogee and follow up with a good DC.  I hope it all works out for you.

Sine it has stopped some, I would do a mild protein treatment but follow with heavy moisture since your hair is drying.
