Topic: PONY TAIL HOLDERS??? Posted: Jan 02 2008 at 3:05am |
Ok, I have yet to wear my hair in a french braid in public, because it's always bending at a weird angle after awhile. I was wondering what you ladies use besides rubberbands to keep the braid straight and hanging. I tried using the hair balls like these, http://www.texasbeautysupplies.com/twhaba1dibae.htmlBut they look childish.....does anyone know where maybe I could find a wooden pair like the ones in the pic, or even cubed clear ones like that?? Also, Would it be tacky to use a stretchy toe-ring to secure my french braid, so that it swings, instead of hanging stiffly and eventually bending??

Hi there! The cube-shaped ones are ok too. I wear these for weighing down my braid also, and know what you mean, so I got the cubed-shaped ones in clear and navy. The cube looks less kiddy than the balls. I have seen some decorative covered elastic scunci-type pony holders at Claire's, they might have something that would give you that weight as well.

Have you thought about the wooden hair beads that you find at a regular bss? I recently saw a girl with these on the bottom of two big pretty french braids going straight back. She only used a few and it looked lovely.

Don't know if you can see this Pony tail holder I have at the end of my braid but I got this one from the BSS store for $1.29 and people tell me how cute it is.. I have a orange color one, Blue, Green and Plain color one. See my Fake Bling, Bling

When I get home I can take a better picture of the PTH.. If you trust me I can always see if I can find you one and just mail it to you. If you don't like it you can give it to a family member. That's if the store still has them.

i agree with in2fitness those kind of clips are cute...and they sell them in smaller sizes, they are usually pretty weighty so it should help. i was too lazy to find a pic...so imagine hers smaller but plain and plastic

Gurl that's my fake hair french braid .. I don't think I've graduated yet to wear my hair alone like wifey does.. Wifey braid looks so good and she don't have to add hair.
