I hate that picture. Yes, she was badly beaten and it is never excusable however Rihanna doesn't strike me as the type who sat still for that beating. Where are the after fight pics of Chris?? I know a few man fighting women, my cousin is beautiful and feared by many men who know/know of her.
I'm not defending him, his career took a lot of damage as her's skyrocketed and we'll never know the truth so I can't judge.

there are pics of chris the night of, the day after, and the week after without so much as a scratch on his face

there used to be one without all the watermarks but this is all i could find. i think his team had a lot of pix removed from the net.

Even prisoners who do their time are freed, CB will be followed by this situation for many years to come. Didn't he have a squeaky clean rep before the fight??
I hate to see a young man spiraling down after a mistake.
