How did his career slow down if he was still actively working? That album didn't sell as well but HE didn't slow down. | Yes he did. His career went to a dragging snail speed after that happened. He had a movie set to come out with T.I., Idris Elba (sp) and the dude from Barbershop, that got pushed back almost a year. No one else asked him to be in movies or dropped him from the cast. He couldnt do the MJ tribute when he's one of the best impersonators, stopped making music for a minute (record company fear) then stores wouldnt stock his albums..........
| That happened bc studio execs weren't haven't that guy jeopardize mainstream white ppl money. The MJ thing became void Because later that summer the same station did a behind the scenes makin of the video with him...and bet received a lot of complaints from ppl who felt he deserved to do the tribute, even Chris wasn't humble enough to shut up about it.

I personally feel like in 2009 the humiliation and pressure was more so put on Rihanna. Black celebs were tweeting about supporting Chris brown bc he's a good guy and just sickening shyt like that. All of this happened and it didn't slow down his career whatsoever...he never took a time out. This traumatic experience happens in feb and he never laid low and sought help bc the transform ya video came out in Oct followed up quickly by his album. He promoted all of it like it was all good and black outlets treated it as such. |
his career did slow down..jayz tried to blackball him, he had to release a cd on the internet and start rapping for people to take him serious, on top of that oprah and everyone else tried to disown him and leave a 19 year old to dry
i'm not caping for him but chris brown and I are the same age, and i was off the chain 4 years ago, and I can't comprehend something I did four years ago still haunting after I paid my dues and ask for forgiveness from those who matters, thats why i'm glad my husband forgave me for everything
Rhianna and Chris Brown are gonna have grandkids and yall gonna still be wishing harm on this person ya'll never met lol couldn't be me |

Now they know him and hate him. Idk which was better for his career tbh

I disagree....I doubt Doublemint would of made him a face of their product if they knew a majority of white ppl didnt know who he was at that time. They may not of been able to name many of his songs but i think most would recognize him as a popstar.

This. He lost contracts after that incident

When I say career slow down I am not saying he was able to sell as much right out the gate, I'm referring to him still actively pushing his music and dropping videos and albums instead of taking any time to rehab his image or himself.

I would love to meet her to try and talk some sense into her . You are married at 19 right ? If your husband ever beats you , do you plan to forgive him and stay ? I know very little about the couple , except for the pictures that prove the man is no Good in my op . I hope you never experience DV. The graveyard is full of women that stayed and forgave .

Seeing this again just makes me question her judgement four years later
She still couldn't move past him?
She could have anyone else | That furthers my thought that more happened in that car than what we know and/or she thinks like one too many girls Ive come across which is all f*cked up
|
I dont think anything more happened that night in the car aside from a guy snapping and beating the sh*t out of girlfriend because he couldn't handle being nagged and pressured about a situation.
I am not gathering this from your statement but a general theory was that she deserved it because she attacked him first and all this and that bullsh*t yet his mugshot looks pretty damn good to me while she looks like the after on super Nintendo Punch Out. It really, really upset me when ppl jumped to this conclusion bc its the way ppl treat blk couples affected by DV all the time. | The first part of that statement I got from reading and seeing her say all these things about her violence toward men in interviews. Videos of similar things from yt have even been posted on here, where posters laughed and said the girl deserved it bc she wanted to try and fight a man like a man. (Ive seen things like that in real life too)
The second part is from other things Ive seen girls like her do (stay with/get back with abusers), I cant even call them women bc their mentality is so f*cked up.
|
when did rihanna talk about her violence towards men? ppl say this crap all the time but where is the proof?
her mentioning her and her younger brother used to fight all the time does not count
ppl act like shes done interviews where she admitted to slapping up or going upside chris's head in an argument before
i've never seen such an interview or read about it...please provide some links

@kinks...how did the jay z blackball work if the top producer in hip hop swizz and the top selling rapper, lil wayne weren't afraid of attaching themselves to his project 6 mths later? If anything, this made hiM More infamous and made his fans more die hard. |
he told award show producers that beyonce wouldn't perform if they allowed chris in...and it was not six months later, that CD flopped compared to his other CD's chris brown did not come back until dueces that was 2 years later....no one can deny that chris brown had it hard....and no one can deny that rhianna has been hurt....and no one can deny that they both have issues that being in the spotlight is making it worst
