Often times posters make threads about wanting to marry well or fit in a certain crowd of men with money but what do they bring to the table besides a pretty face? Some of these men need more than a pretty face to bring around their friends, colleagues, and clients; especially when you are black woman. This is valuable in your personal development as well for example I had an interview with a manager who went on to talk about Simpson- Bowles, my thoughts about reinstating Glass-Steagall, if I had ever read Spin Selling, seen Glenn Gary Glen Ross, my thoughts on cloud computing, the price of gold today, what I do in my personal time, and if I knew about various IT technology. All of the questions I thought had very little to do with the position and that he was just trying to stump me but luckily I knew about all of his questions. The manager explained that he wanted to see if I had intellectual curiosity and if I could carry on a conversation with professionals much more experienced than myself. I feel the same applies for women looking to land a moneyed man and Afro's post illustrated that.
