Now are they talking about BI racial people? You know, people with a white and a black parent?
Because I have heard of this book before. And I always thought by "passing" the author was talking about BLACK people who are VERY light skinned. People with a black mother and black father. But for some reason are extremely fair skinned.
I have an Aunt who can pass for white. Hell, most of us are convinced she IS white. She has blue eyes the color of the ocean. Caucasian hair and a peaches and cream complexion. But guess what? BOTH her parents are black. She says if there is any caucassian blood in her it must be her great great grandparents.
Weird idea for a book I guess. But it's common knowledge Bi racial people can look white. After all, one parent IS white. So I don't see what's so intriguing about that. I'm much more interested in hearing about black people like my Aunt.
