Well it sounds like your bestie is upping the ante and taking it to another level. As a natural flirt, I know there are definitely scenarios where I make sure to not go into the flirt zone:
1. My close male friends that I met through my fiance (I see them as brothers so that would be incestuous at best and downright skanky at worst) 2. My male friends who have gfs 3. My male clients 4. My male business partners
People that I know personally basically are off limits as it's too easy to let things get carried away and for unnecessary drama to pop up. It sounds like both your bestie and your bestie's bf are being too ratchet for any good to come from it. You need to address your bestie's excessive flirting and you need to limit your time around her man. Unless you enjoy creating unnecessary tension, I don't see anything good coming from encouraging or not inhibiting either of their behaviors.

The fact that you're thinking about it, means that it's already an issue. On a conscious level it may not "bother" you. But subconsciously if it didn't bother you, you wouldn't be posing the question to yourself or to us.
There's your answer. Not saying you need to do a RHOA, but you need to curtail it. It starts with flirting and when unchecked ends up with hurt feelings for real.
| Yeah... Because I know if I flirted with her guy all hell would break loose. I'm going to avoid situations where our mates are involved. I hate to do that, but right now I don't have much brain space to dedicate towards this.

I'm confused, she flirts with your guy and it's okay but if you flirted with her guy all hell would break loose? Why don't you just tell her how you feel, especially since you two are friends?

I'm not comfortable or uncomfortable if u get what I mean...
I'm not a fan of it, but my guy doesn't flirt back. He barely even makes eye contact with her. That's my friend so I'm not going to go in on her at all, but let just say she's not his type physically.
My concern is what could possibly happen to our friendship over how SHE feels. I feel like I may be over analyzing. I do that sometimes. |
I understand what you mean, but if that was my friend, I wouldn't want her around my man.

I'm also a very awkward person who like to avoid conversations that have the potential to b awkward. What should I say?

Is she a good enough friend not to take advantage if your S/O were interested? I'm sure a situation like this could get messy if your friend is the jealous type and her man is off limits but is overly friendly with your man.

Attractive/unattractive Would go out the window because then he would b disrespecting his commitment to me. He doesn't do that and seems generally unphased by the entire situation. He basically said the same thing; she just naturally a flirt.
