It's a rare sight when they aren't in flip flops. When we were at the state house it had to be a big deal bc they busted out the sperrys |
I didn't understand a word of this. Hold up, let me try again.

My brother begged for these shoes for Christmas. All the kids wear them at this school (Catholic school). We gave them to him.

Yeah, my brother is 16, and that's what the fancy kids at his school wear. They are ugly shoes IMO.

My mother been dissin my nikes because I've been wearing them around constantly since November. On Saturday we went to my sister's house and then to the movies, and she was like, Derri, you're in those sneakers again???
I told her this apartment living life got me feeling real pop down. I always have to run outside to the dumpster to throw trash out, so I keep it by the door, and I usually reach for it. I don't even think she heard the whole sentence. She tuned out after she looked down at my feet. Whatever mom!!!

yep, I see it all the time. I have no problem seeing it; it's like whateves that's cool . what's annoying however, is having to wait on someone when yall are running into the store for a quick second or something BUT I have noticed that sometimes it's to your advantage to look your best or at least very presentable, even when going somewhere "unimportant". you never know who you may run into/ strike a conversation with. (you know how ppl be all up in your face)
