Agreed 1000%. Watching child p.orn is just as bad as physically having a victim. I don't think the punishment should be any less and it certainly should never be considered an alternative to physically abusing a child because it's the same thing.

i like the fact that they are doing more research on this. but i don't think it should be considered another sexual orientation.

The article said that 1-5% of men have a sexual attraction to children. From the things I've read, there are almost no females that actually have a sexual attraction to children. I'm wondering if there's something about women that makes it almost biologically impossible. Like because we birth the children, evolution/biology made it impossible for us to also be attracted to them in that way (because if we were and procreated with them the human race wouldn't really survive).

That's a point and my issue with labeling it just another sexual orientation is that it rules out the possibility for mental illnesses or abuse for men as well. Since human sexuality at all ends is presumed natural and unlearned, labeling it an orientation perhaps would not take into account that some of these men may have been victims of abuse as well and may not be a natural inclination for all pedophiles.

I'm speaking about sexual predators. A good deal of sexual abuse/molestation among children is committed by other children, often older children towards younger ones.

Are people of color less likely to report these type of crimes ? Is there evidence to support that most pedos are white ? I trust no one regardless of color.
