The first 2 weeks was really, really bad, your body is to adjusting to the new drug.
I was dizzy most mornings, I missed work a few times because I couldn't get up in the morning.
A constant nausea feeling, I lost my appetite I didn't eat for 3 days at one time. Oh and the diarrhoea lawd Cry
I've always had regular periods, I was prescribed metformin to control my weight but I found it hard to lose weight on it.

Hmmm that makes me nervous. I have NEVER had regular periods tho

Everyone reacts differently. You might not have it so bad as me.

I have PCOS...

Diane gave lots of tips...and I would also recommend seeing a endocrinologist....

whats dat?Ouch

its a doctor that specializes in hormones.... so they are ones that will run blood work to see your hormone levels, if you have thyroid issues, etc...

They also tend to know more about the various treatments for PCOS patients. When I went, after they ran tests...I got on a new birth control with higher levels of estrogen and he told me exactly what type of diet I needed to be on get the weight off.

Losing weight is hard...but trying to lose weight when you have PCOS is an uphill battle. You need to know how your body reacts to sugars (and not just white sugar but sugars from fruits as well)...you also need to know your hormone levels. The BC i take would make an average women sick as a dog but it works for me and it allowed my body to get on a level playing field to be able to lose weight.

one more thing....ANY doctor that you feel is not giving you the answers you need, DROP THEM. Doctors read books about your body..you KNOW your body. Do not allow them to use you as a test dummy for drugs. A great doctor will humble themselves enough to refer to a specialist or someone who has more experience.

My old doctor (who is retired now) would bring another doctor in a heart beat if he didn't know something. I had so much respect for him because of that. It let me know that he actually cared about my health...and just getting me in and out of his office.
