Me too. But since that isn't being done, I hope more people DO see this documentary (or any awareness piece about the topic). Not just men. But women too. Since threads on this topic in the past have shown that women would throw a hissy fit if their man asked for a paternity test. Almost nobody wants to talk about it seriously. A lot of women want to dismiss it.

fathers being duped is a byproduct of the cheating epidemic in relationships in general. the only diff is men can't get pregnant...when they cheat they can GET another chick pregnant...and in both circumstances, the people lie. |
That's irrelevant to the point i'm making.

that's why it's just not that deep to me. people cheat and lie. there's a much bigger issue in abandoning children that are yours.

I think the problem in this thread is that it's coming from you, if you want me to keep it really real...
I don't think anyone thinks you're coming from the right angle of these type of situations...
If it were someone like Random, then women would probably be more open to hearing...Random doesnt stir up the meat pot, and shows himself to be a man of fine respectful character

if you want more tears to be shed
maybe you'd get a better reception at a black barbershop than a black hair forum

I don't feel he should be congratulated on not being the father because if the female was of a dubious character chances are he knew that and they were f*king so he should have used more protection. It's like congratulating a drunk driver for not running over somebody.

According to threads. That simple test is going to lead to divorce and breakups. I agree, that at all cost, get one. But it would be even more simple if both people could be on the same page, which is where awareness and talking comes into play.

True enough, a man should know that anytime he dips his stick, it could result in pregnancy. I don't think a man should automatically rebuke the fact that he could be the father...
But...
If you're a woman, and you know there is a possibility that someone else could be the father, you should say that. A lot of these women tell a man he IS the father, collect support, let these men build relationships with theses children, get these children's names tattooed on them, and then go, "Oooops" if and when results come out.
Or in my cousin's best friend's case, laugh on FB about how she knew all along he wasn't the daddy, but thanks for the child support.
Despicable!

Or just want people to be as intelligent and productive as they are with any other topic. Guess that's too much to ask.
