Why can't women of other races spend thousands trying to get like us? Why is it always the other way around.
.
i always thought thats what all the tanning, lip/butt injections were all about, and why asians have afros. LOL

i could be wrong tho.Geek

You would be hard pressed to find a white woman who would actually trade places with a black woman, though. They have taught the world that they are the best and women of other races foolishly agree to it.

And big asses aren't all that unique to black women. Something I noticed whole attending a PWI.

Yall can call me a nazi, blah blah blah. Until the day we stop hiding behind "preferences" I don't think we'll ever really value our hair/skin/etc.

all churches have rule.  i dont see why this one is any different.  when i was growing up it was frowned upon for women to wear pants, make-up or nail polish and men to wear sneakers or jeans.  its not like they wouldnt let you in the door but you would get snatched up and be gently informed.  do people really attend churches where they dont agree with the rules of membership.

and that article tried to be slick mentioning that the church was founded in Waco, Texas.

And it scares me to think what the next generation of black men will "prefer" if their mothers prefer to hide one of the features that makes them undeniably black. Like I can't be the only one who sees this ish.

Confused

He needs to focus on the bible instead of what's on women's heads....These type of men make me sick. Always trying to dictate what women are doing with their bodies. Don't worry about whatever the hell I'm doing.

I don't agree with him

But side note I don't think it's weird that men focus on women and what they look like and what they wear.
Women do the same thing....

Hold up I actually read it lol.
He just doesn't approve of it I thought he actually prohibited weave in the church.

Ok cool

I think the pastor should do a wealth/health education seminar for all church members where they can focus on financial healthiness instead of outer expectations. I'm glad it came from the church because the church is supposed to be the staple of a community, and since most of the members of churches are women, I don't see anything wrong with it..

I agree with the bolded.  We should know by now that shaming doesn't work.  You have to educate and even with education, access issues can't always be solved with a seminar.  Blacks are the most residentially segregated race in this country. You can be debt free and be able to afford a weave even if you can't afford a house.  I understand the point he's trying to make but not at all the way to go about it.
