Are the concepts of automatic and additional subjective? Cuz when I've eaten at establishments where the gratuity was automatic, it was already added in onto the amount for food and where it showed the dollar amount equivalent of the %, that was just as an FYI.

In what context would I be volunteering that kind of information? Not trying to come for you but I can't think of a reason why I would put down my occupation on a receipt.
