The well woman visit is always free in state subsidized Free Clinics but most people snub their noses at clinics. Same way that a lot of people are unemployed/underemployed and are eligible for free coverage with zero copays under ACA/Obamacare, but snub their noses at it and didnt educate themselves and didnt enroll.

Most of the people I've talked to about trying to access health care had difficulty getting to the clinic.  I'm not sure if all medicaid offers transportation to and from appointments.  If it is available in their area, they often don't know about it.  It's also challenging because a lot of them have children and no one to keep them.  These locations are also often PACKED and it can take many hours to get seen.  If they have a job, that makes things challenging as well.

None.
Lets be honest, he isnt getting tested and the woman are not being tested.

People also have their medicaid dropped for painfully stupid reasons.  That or they don't qualify for it at all.

It can be a challenge, yes. But if a person can not challenge themselves to make an appointment for one well woman visit a year that can save their lives (cancer testing/HIV/pre-cancerous screening), the challenge lies within...

anyone can go to these free clinics?

Are they located in the inner cities?

Are they gynos? gps?

Do they specialize in female reproductive health? Or in preventing pregnancy?

What treatment options are available in these clinics?

I'm just not comfortable reducing this issue to black women being careless, promiscuous and filthy

They are everywhere. Even in your city's health department. Not just in inner cities. This isnt a new thing either. People know about them. Whether is state subsidies or an organization like Planned Parenthood, the places are available and are utilized by many, but not all that need to.

Too much to type, so Google "Free Clinic" and you will understand. Everyone that is from USA has heard of a free clinic, and most people are informed of them when they immigrate here even if they never in their lives have to go to one, but I know that you are not from here.

Here is a link that spells out the function of the free clinic: http://www.nyc.gov/html/doh/html/living/std-clinics.shtml

"Patients are seen on a first come, first served basis. No appointment is necessary. People in need of primary care (including a routine STD checkup) will be referred to low/no cost services."
Sexual and Reproductive Health

birth control poster New York City has many free and low cost services for sexual and reproductive health care. Clinics provide confidential health care
and treatment for teens and adult women of all ages.
