Even those who despise the Patience tip... like me.. it really does works. Knowing that your hair is gonna grow regarldess is the key.

On my hair journey, I have learned: 1. Not to listen to well meaning folk how are quick to offer advice. 2. to listen to my own hair. 3. my natural hair is not like my relaxed hair so I have to monitor and adjust accordingly. 4. my natural hair is easier to style than my relaxed hair was. 5. read labels. 6. nappy hair does grow 6 inches in a year without the use of growth aids or vitamins.
I like this journey. Grace & Blessing ~ Moonglow

...that I need to stay away from scissors. I don't need to cut uneven, healthy hair because I almost never wear my natural hair out!

1-pH really makes a difference on my hair
2-Fingers make the best "comb" for me
3-Co washing isnt for everyone
4-Fairy knots comes with territory of being a natural
5-Crisco is a wonderful sealant!!
6-Finger detangling takes practice
7-Keeping hair stretched saves time, hair & my sanity lol
8-Soft hair doesnt always mean "moisturized" hair
9-DO NOT do your hair when tired, cranky, hungry etc :)
10-Fine hair is not thin hair & coarse hair is not "rough" hair
11-Change your regimen only if it needs it,dont try & fix what isnt broke
12-The definition of "unmanageable hair" is different for everyone
13-Apprieciate your hair for what it is now, dont "rush" your hair journey for the sake of wanting a longer length
14-Even if you have the same hair "type",what works for you STILL may not work for others
15-As hair gets longer,it does not get thicker (aka density)
16-the only "magic pills" for longer hair is;time, patience,& gentle handling
To be continued...

I've learned that my natural hair isn't difficult to deal with. My mom simply didn't know what she was doing or how to properly take care of it.
I've learned to listen to my hair and allow it to tell me what it needs.
I've also learned that my hair loves water. And I've been needlessly ducking it for eons.
