Hey all,

From the things I have looked up just about everything you use for cooking (oils, mayonase, and eggs etc) are good for your hair.

In the book "Why are Black Women Losing their Hair" He mentioned that Soybean Oil(which is regular Crisco/off brand vegetable oil LOL) is excellent for moisture, it is an oil your hair readly soaks in. I've used it as a hot oil treatment and it does very well. It is actually the first ingredient in Organics Carrot Tea-Tree Hair Oil.

Here is a nice Hot Oil recipe I found:

Jojoba Hot Oil Treament

Ingredients
2 teaspoons jojoba oil
1 teaspoon soybean oil (regular cooking vegetable oil LOL)
Directions
Combine ingredients then warm gently on low heat. Test temperature on inside of forearm. Massage mixture into hair.Wrap hair in a hot towel or cover with shower cap or plastic wrap for 15 minutes. Shampoo & rinse out. Reciped may be doubled for very long hair.
