The secret to beautiful shiny hair
While working this past weekend several ladies stopped me to ask me how do I get my hair so shiny. I told them I oil my scalp and hair daily with good quality natural oils. Massaging these natural oils into my scalp stimulates my hair follicles and also helps to distribute my natural sebum throughout my hair shaft. After about 2 days of this your hair sparkles with a natural healthy sheen. It is as simple as that.

This challenge has been my favorite challenge concerning my hair this year! Why? Because this simple change in my regimen has produced my healthiest hair yet. Bye bye dry hair, single strand knots, excess tangles, dry dull hair! Adios! Straw hair! I can wash my 18 inches of tightly coily hair without having to wash it in sections. Oiling daily leaves my hair lubricated to the point that it is easy to wash and not tangle excessively. Amen
as a Christian, I know that there is power in the anointing and God
truly has made oil powerful. Oils and herbs have been used since ancient
times. And Afro hair loves oils.

Fish oil/Omega 3 fatty acids
For overall body health in particular heart health. The American Heart association recommends taking one gram a day for heart health..
Lets look at what this supplement can do for your hair and skin
Omega 3's are known to correct eczema and psoriasis.
If your skin is dry, dull or scaly you could benefit from fish oil.
If your hair/scalp is consistently dry, brittle, and unmanageable no matter what you apply to your skin, then you may benefit from adding Omega 3's to your diet.
As we age, our sebum flow changes and this can lead to skin/hair becoming dry. Omega 3's also help to nourish collagen.
Personal challenge: Introduce 3 grams of fish oil into your daily diet for one month, then examine scalp for changes.

Yes hot oil treatments give your hair lots of shine. Since I oil daily, I do not need to do hot oil treatments. Sometimes I may add some oil to my deep conditioner before sitting under the dryer. Now I do a pre-shampoo oil treatment with coconut oil maybe once or twice a month. Love it!
