In today's edition of the "Good Stuff," a beloved dog helps parents in South Carolina detect that their son is being abused. CNN's Chris Cuomo reports.
Benjamin and Hope Jordan hired a nanny for their 7-month-old son, Finn. She passed a background check, she seemed like a good nanny, and for a while, everything was fine. That's when the family's dog Killian started acting up.
Benjamin Jordan said, "About 5 months into her being our babysitter, we started to notice that our dog was very defensive of our son whenever she would come in the door. He was very aggressive towards her, and a few times we actually had to physically restrain our dog from going towards her."
Killian's behavior was so suspicious that the couple thought they should look into it. So they put an iPhone under the couch to record what was going on while they were at work.
They ended up hearing Finn being cursed at and physically abused.
Alexis Khan, 22, pleaded guilty to assault and battery, and now faces up to three years in prison. She's also on a child abuser registry, and will never be allowed to work with kids again.
