Monopoly will add the cat token to its popular, long-running board game, replacing the iron.

for which of the five suggested pieces they would like to see
introduced, in addition to which of the existing eight should be saved.
After 250,000 responses, it was announced this morning (February 6) on Today
that the cat managed 31% of the total vote, beating the robot in second place as well as the ring, helicopter and guitar.
the iron picked up the least amount of support, losing out to the dog,
race car, battleship, top hat, thimble, boot and wheelbarrow.
vote to save reportedly went down to the wire, as the iron - which was
only backed by 8% of votes - was tying in last place with the boot and
wheelbarrow last night (February 5).
