this is soo sad but as long as they don't forgive she still to this day has power over them even while she is 6ft under!
I don't believe in this

Me neither.  Forgiveness IMO frees that other person from their wrong doing and you take on their debt to a certain extent.  When you forgive...you forget then u got folks that say things like "I can't believe I let them do this to me again".

nope.  #noforgivness.

I think folks have varying definitions for forgiveness. Dr Phil says (from google) When you forgive, it doesn't mean that you approve of what's happened. Rather, it means that you're giving yourself permission to move on with your life.

Based on that, I forgive immediately; because I don't allow anyone to control when/if I move on with my life. But based on the 'usual' definition of forgiveness (forgive and forget type), I never do.

I like the doctor phil definition purp!Thumbs Up imo it's physically impossible (not to mention pretty much unhealthy and mentally/emotionally damaging) to just forget like that.

It's absolutely possible to move on with your life without forgetting the pain and bad experiences that shaped it.
