I currently have a warrant for an unpaid fine. as a result I keep my nose squeaky clean. I wear a seatbelt at all times. I get ghost at the first sign of trouble. but if my hypothetical bf decides to put his hands on me I have no recourse? and that's my fault cause I'm too poor to pay a fine.

and regardless of what a warrant is for... laws should protect us... and not only those you deem "deserving" of protdction.
